1000 + .03p = r

You write "which equation represents" and yet you did not write any of the choices:
Could be .03p + 1000=r
      or      r= .03p +1000
       or     r= 1000 +.03p
They are all equivalent equations.

I don’t know how to do this
stich3 [128]

To check for continuity at the edges of each piece, you need to consider the limit as x approaches the edges. For example,

g(x)=\begin{cases}2x+5&\text{for }x\le-3\\x^2-10&\text{for }x>-3\end{cases}

has two pieces, 2x+5 and x^2-10, both of which are continuous by themselves on the provided intervals. In order for g to be continuous everywhere, we need to have

\displaystyle\lim_{x\to-3^-}g(x)=\lim_{x\to-3^+}g(x)=g(-3)

By definition of g, we have g(-3)=2(-3)+5=-1, and the limits are

\displaystyle\lim_{x\to-3^-}g(x)=\lim_{x\to-3}(2x+5)=-1

\displaystyle\lim_{x\to-3^+}g(x)=\lim_{x\to-3}(x^2-10)=-1

The limits match, so g is continuous.

For the others: Each of the individual pieces of f,h are continuous functions on their domains, so you just need to check the value of each piece at the edge of each subinterval.

Calculate the velocity of a baseball that travels 100 m in 5 sec.
r-ruslan [8.4K]

The velocity of the baseball is 20m/s

Velocity can be described as the speed of an object that is moving in a particular direction

The formula for calculating velocity is

velocity= displacement/time

The first step is to write out the parameters given in the question.

time= 5 seconds

displacement= 100m

The velocity can be calculated as follows;

velocity/displacement

= 100/5

= 20

Hence the velocity of the ball is 20m/s

Please see the link below for more information on velocity

The area of a rectangular wall of a barn is 48 square feet. Its length is 4 feet longer than twice its width. Find the length an
Aleks [24]
Answer
Length: 12 feet Width:4
Explanation
To get the area of a rectangle you times the length by the width
It says the length of the wall is 4 feet longer than TWICE it’s width since 12 times 4 is 48 and 12 is twice the amount of 4 plus 4 feet it fits the requirements of this question
