Hey, I'm assuming you mean five refrigerators every eight hours. So . . .

1250 divide by 5. Which gives you 250.

Then take that 250 and multiply it by 8, and you have 2000.

So it would take 2000 hrs for a factory, that can produce 5 refrigerators every eight hours to, produce 1250 refrigerators.

Answer: If you wanted to say five instead of fifth, then the company makes 5 refrigerators in 8 hours.

this means that the factory makes 5/8 refrigerators per hour.

if you want to do 1250 refrigerators, you divide this number by the rate and you get:

\frac{1250 refrigerators}{\frac{5refrigerators}{8hours} } =2000hours

so the factory needs 2000 hours to make 1250 refrigerators.

Which transformations have been performed on the graph of f(x) =<img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=%5Csqrt%5B3%5D%7Bx%7D" id="Tex
Nookie1986 [14]

Answer:

(B) compress the graph closer to the x-axis

(E) translate the graph to the left

(F) translate the graph up

Step-by-step explanation:

When functions are transformed there are a few simple rules:

  • Adding/subtracting inside the parenthesis to the input shifts the function left(+) and right(-).
  • Adding/subtracting outside the parenthesis to the output shifts the function up(+) and down(-).
  • Multiplying the function by a number less than 1 compresses it towards the x-axis.
  • Multiplying the function by a number greater than 1 stretches it away from the x-axis.

This graph has been multiplied by 1/4 which is less than 1. It will be compressed.

This graph has x added to by 3. It will shift left 3 units.

This graph has the output outside of x added to by 6. It will shift 6 units up. See picture below. The original function is red. The new function is blue.
