The average time taken to complete a test follows normal probability distribution with a mean of 70 minutes and a standard devia

tion of 25 minutes. The probability of a randomly selected student completing the test in 45 minutes or less is approximately equal to ____%. The probability of a randomly selected student completing the test in 95 minutes is ____%.

Under 45 mins is roughly 16%. This is because 68% of the curve exists within 1 SD of the mean. So 16% must be outside and smaller and 16% outside and larger (on average).

It is impossible to determine how likely you are to find someone with exactly the second amount. However, if you are looking for that or less, you would get 84%

What is the value of v?<br> 1 / 4 (v – 7) = 2
belka [17]
1/4 (v - 7) = 2

1/4v - 1/4 (7/1) = 2

1/4v - 7/4 = 2

1/4v = 15/4

Multiply by 4/1 on both sides to get v

(4/1) 1/4v = 15/4 (4/1)

v = 60/4

v = 15

sketch the curve represented by the parametric equations (indicate the orientation of the curve), write the corresponding rectan
pychu [463]

Answer:

Reduced equaton is 5x-3y+\frac{28}{3}=0.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given parametric equation is,

x=3t-5 and y=5t+1

Now, x=3t-5\implies t=\frac{x+5}{3} substitute in second equation we get,

y=\frac{5}{3}(x+5)+1

y=\frac{5}{3}x+\frac{28}{9}

\implies 5x-3y+\frac{28}{3}=0

which is the corresponding rectangular equation after eliinating the parameter.

Now consider,

y=\frac{5}{3}x+\frac{28}{9}

Of which,

Slope : \frac{5}{3}

when,

x=0, y=\frac{28}{9}=3.1

x=1, y=\frac{43}{9}=4.8; x=-1, y=\frac{13}{9}=1.4

x=2, y=\frac{58}{9}=6.4;  x=-2, y=\frac{-2}{9}=-0.2

x=3, y=\frac{73}{9}=8.1; x=-3, y=\frac{-17}{9}=-1.8

x=4, y=\frac{88}{9}=9.8; x=-4, y=\frac{-32}{9}=-3.6

x=5, y=\frac{103}{9}=11.4; x=-5, y=\frac{-47}{9}=-5.2

ans so on. Thus sketching th curve will look like given,

The angles in a triangle are in the ratio 2 : 3:7.
Mademuasel [1]

Answer:

30°, 45° and 105°

Step-by-step explanation:

2 + 3 + 7 = 12 parts

180/12 = 15 degrees each part

First angle (2 parts)

2(15) = 30°

Second angle (3 parts)

3(15) = 45°

Third angle (7 parts)

7(15) = 105°

Hope this helps

How do you convert from a radical expression to a rational exponent?
Murljashka [212]
 The denominator of the raised fraction is what goes on the outside of the square root. So if you had 2 raised to 1/3, you'd put the 3 raised outside to the left of the radical and the 2 inside. They give the same answer, so if you know one, you can always play with the other until you get the same answer. My teacher told us in Calculus a funny/weird way to remember it is the "bottom (of the raised fraction) goes in the crack (of the radical)." Does this help??
