Answer:

The wave nature of light is the fundamental resolution of an optimal instrument.

Explanation:

All the optical instruments are working on light that's why they are known as optical instrument. Optics means the behavior of light or sight. Light is an electromagnetic radiation which comes in the category of electromagnetic spectrum. It travels in the form of wavelength.

So, optical instruments are based on wave nature of light.

Answer:

the wave nature of light.

Explanation:

Generally light travels inform of waves. Therefore light has properties of waves called diffraction. In which lights rays bends or are scattered around the circular opening of optical instruments. Thus Lights waves limits the resolving power of optical instruments. Resolving power is the ability of an optical instruments to produce separate images of two adjacent points. Thus the more scattered these light waves reaching the aperture are ,the lower the resolving power of the instruments.

Thus the size of the aperture and objective lens of the instruments are great determinant of the power of fundamental resolution.

Therefore the wave like nature of light limited the resolving power of optical instruments because of its diffraction barriers sets up in this instruments.

How is the process of natural selection involved in evolution?
Ann [662]
Natural selection means that the organisms better adapted to their environment, that is, they have developed the right characteristics/skills/response to the external ambient, have higher chance to survive, making the next generations genetically inherit such acquired surviving characteristics.
These generations will thus have a higher chance of survival, making these species being "naturally selected" as survivors, while those who haven't or are slower in this process, have a higher risk of elimination.

son4ous [18]

Answer:

The correct answer will be- true, all the options are correct.

Explanation:

Cactus or the species of Opuntia genus are adapted to grow on the desert conditions or the area with no water or xerophytic conditions.

The leaves of the plants become modified to take the shape of the spines which provide many advantages like protection from herbivores and providing shape to the plant.

In the species of teddy bear cactus (Opuntia bigelovii), the cactus serve a third purpose that is they help in the propagation of the species. The spines possess tiny barbs at the ends which help them attach to the animal or any object that walks by and the falls of somewhere else. The fall-off portion of the cactus grow roots and form a new cactus there.

Thus, true is the correct answer.

All the information necessary for an organism to form and grow is
Amanda [17]

Explanation:

a. The genes in the DNA instruct the cell to make proteins.

Genes are a set of coded instructions in the form of DNA, which are crucial to cell regulation - these enable protein synthesis.

Further Explanation:

Nucleic acids are comprised of smaller units called nucleotides and function as storage for the body’s genetic information. These monomers include ribonucleic acid (RNA) or deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). They differ from other macromolecules since they don’t provide the body with energy. They exist solely to encode and carry out protein synthesis.

All the genetic information within the eukaryotic cell is stored within the nucleus as helical DNA. This DNA is condensed and tightly wound around histones as chromosomes. Chromosomes within the nucleus is unwound, unzipped and read by enzymes in a complex series of steps known as transcription. The message on DNA, called genes is copied by RNA polymerase, to form mRNA complementary sequence to that of the DNA strand. These are then translated into proteins in ribosomes.
