Answer:

The reason why astronomers interested in building observatories capable of detecting neutrinos, cosmic rays, and gravitational waves is because:

d. These things are not forms of light, and therefore can provide different types of information than light about objects that emit the

Explanation:

Cosmic rays are composed of pure energy that travels at the speed of light and that can be measured according to the amount of energy they have as well as the speed they travel.

Neutrinos are also composed of energy however they are specifically composed of radioactive decays. This allows scientists to measure them even though they can go through almost everything without being noticed.

Gravitational waves are disturbances generated in the curvature of space that expand from their origin at a certain rhythm or "force" that travels at the speed of time.

So because all of them can be measured without being light they are optimal to be found in the space to create more knowledge about the universe.

If a 5kg ball is rolling to the left and has a momentum of -25kg*m/s what is the velocity (not just speed) of the ball
Anna71 [15]

Answer:

The velocity of the ball is 5 m/s to the left.

Explanation:

-25kg*m/s divided by 5 kg gives

speed of -5 m/s

The velocity of the ball is 5 m/s to the left.

A rural, forested area receives a lot of rain in a short amount of time. What
lakkis [162]

Answer: A. If the surface aquifer has a high water table

Explanation:

The water table refers to the water level underground. If it is high, it means that the water underground is close to the surface such that if a well was dug, it would not need to be dug too far for water to be seen.

When heavy rain falls, flooding is avoided if the water is either able to run off efficiently or if the ground is able to absorb the water. When the water table is high, it means that the ground will not be able to absorb much because the water is already close to the surface which means that should heavy rain fall, there will most likely be a flood.
