Many species cool themselves by sweating, because as the sweat evaporates, heat is transferred to the surroundings. A human exer

cising strenuously has an evaporative heat loss rate of about 657 W. If a person exercises strenuously for 28.6 min, how much water must he drink to replenish his fluid loss? The heat of vaporization of water is 2430 J/g at normal skin temperature.

Answer:

The water lost is 463.95 g.

Explanation:

Given that,

Heat lost rate = 657 W

Time = 28.6 min

Heat vaporization = 2430 J/g

We need to calculate the heat lost

Using formula of heat loss

heat\ lost =657\times28.6\times60

heat\ lost=1127412\ J

We need to calculate the water lost

Using formula of water lost

water\ lost=\dfrac{heat\ lost}{heat\ vaporization}

Put the value into the formula

water\ lost=\dfrac{1127412}{2430}

water\ lost=463.95\ g

Hence, The water lost is 463.95 g.

Based on your knowledge of the electromagnetic spectrum, why are radio waves considered harmless while ultraviolet waves and x-r
Goryan [66]

The correct answer of this question is : A) Radio waves have longer wavelengths, lower frequency, and lower energy than ultraviolet waves and x-rays.

EXPLANATION :

Before going to answer this question, first we have to know the electromagnetic spectrum.

Electromagnetic spectrum is the arrangement of electromagnetic waves in the ascending order of frequency or descending order of wavelength.

When the waves are arranged in the ascending order of their frequency, then perfect order is given below as such -

Radio wave < Micro wave < Infrared wave < Visible light < U.V ray< X-ray < Gamma ray .

Hence, we see that radio wave has the least frequency, and gamma ray has the most frequency.

We know that wavelength and frequency are inversely are inversely proportional to each other. Hence, radio wave has more wavelength and less frequency.

The wave having more frequency is more energetic. Hence, gamma is more energetic and radio wave is less energetic .

A transformer has an output coil with 6 times as many turns as the input coil. If the input frequency is f then the output frequ
sveticcg [70]

Answer:

d. f

Explanation:

Based on the principle of operation of transformer, when a.c voltage is applied at the terminal of the primary coil (input coil), an alternating magnetic flux is produced in the iron core which links the secondary coil (output coil).

Also, an alternating e.m.f of the same frequency as that of primary coil (input coil) will be induced in the secondary coil (output coil) by mutual inductance.

Thus, If the input frequency is "f" then the output frequency will be "f" (since the frequency will be the same).

The correct option is "D"

What is the Sl unit for speed
Akimi4 [234]

Answer: meter per second

Explanation: meter per second

Speed has the dimensions of distance divided by time. The SI unit of speed is the meter per second, but the most common unit of speed in everyday usage is the kilometer per hour or, in the US and the UK, miles per hour. For air and marine travel the knot is commonly used.
