A spherical shell has inner radius 1.5 m, outer radius 2.5 m, and mass 850 kg, distributed uniformly throughout the shell. What
Nimfa-mama [501]

Answer:

The magnitude of the gravitational force is 4.53 * 10 ^-7 N

Explanation:

Given that the magnitude of the gravitational force is F = GMm/r²

mass M = 850 kg

mass m = 2.0 kg

distance d = 1.0 m , r = 0.5 m

F = GMm/r²

Gravitational Constant G = 6.67 × 10^-11 Newtons kg-2 m2.

F = (6.67 × 10^-11 * 850 * 2)/0.5²

F = 0.00000045356 N

F = 4.53 * 10 ^-7 N

WITCHER [35]

Gravity is the force that pulls you down.
(This is kind of a duh! question ... How do we know
which way is "down" ?  We feel gravity, and we call
that the "down" direction.)

Magnetic force holds things to fridge doors.

Contact forces need to touch something in order to
exert their force.
Example:  Gravity is NOT a contact force.

I don't know about "rubbing things away".
This might be a description of friction, but if so,
it's not a good one.

Buoyant force is what keeps floating things floating.

Air resistance slows things down when they move in air.

A rocket of mass 40000kg propelled by a force of 10^6N acquires a speed of 3000m/s determine the power expended
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

3×10⁹ W

Explanation:

Power = work / time

Power = force × distance / time

Power = force × velocity

P = Fv

P = (10⁶ N) (3000 m/s)

P = 3×10⁹ W
