<u>ANSWER:  </u>

The length and width of the paddock are 8, 6.

<u>SOLUTION: </u>

Given, length of a paddock is 2m more than its width.

Let the length of paddock be “x”

Then the width of paddock becomes x – 2.

Also given that, area of paddock is 48 \mathrm{m}^{2}

area = 48

In general, paddocks are rectangular in shape. Area of rectangle is given by

area of rectangle = length \times breadth

Length \times breadth = 48

x(x – 2) = 48

we can write 48 as product of 8 and 6

x(x – 2) = 8 x 6

Now, by comparing on both sides, We can say that

x = 8 and x -2 = 6

Finally , the value of x is 8 and x - 2 is 6

Hence, the length and width of the paddock are 8, 6.

<h3>♫ :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: // Hello There ! //  :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ♫</h3>

➷  Let the width be 'x' and the length be 'x + 2'

Area = l x w

Substitute the values in:

48 = x(x + 2)

48 = x^2 + 2x

Use trial and error [it'll only take a few turns] to get the value for x

x = 6

x + 2 = 8

Thus, the length of the paddock is 8m and the width is 6m.

Answer:

x = 40

Step-by-step explanation:

Here's a fun fact, all of those angles actually add up to 360 degrees!

How do we know this? Well if you were to draw a small arc between each of the lines, you would see that the arc would end up making a circle. And remember, circles have 360 degrees!

Now we can do some basic algebra. Add up all the angles and set that equal to 360.

(2x) + (x) + (3x + 20) + (2x+20) = 360.

8x + 40 = 360

8x = 320

x = 40

Hope this helped!
