Answer:3.95 m/s

Explanation:

Given

radius of circle r=1.6 m

Water will not spill if the centripetal acceleration is greater than acceleration due to gravity

i.e. a_c\geq g

a_c=\frac{v^2}{r}

\frac{v^2}{r}\geq g

v_{min}=\sqrt{gr}

v_{min}=\sqrt{9.8\times 1.6}

v_{min}=\sqrt{15.68}

v_{min}=3.95 m/s

Gbenga needs to get glasses to correct his farsightedness. His eyes currently cannot focus on objects that are within 2 ft (or 6
Scilla [17]

Answer:

Focal Length = 38.61cm, Power = 2.59 Diopter, Converging lens.

Explanation:

When an object is placed 25cm from Gbenga's eye, the glasses lens must produce an image 61cm away (Gbenga's eye near point).

An image 61cm from the eye will be (61cm - 1.6cm) from the glasses.

i.e. d_{i}=61cm-1.6cm=59.4cm

and d_{o} = 25cm - 1.6cm = 23.4cm

note d_{i} will be negative because the image is formed on the same side as the object.

finally, d_{i}=-59.4cm\\d_{o}=23.4cm

the formula for finding the focal length f is given as

f=\frac{d_{i}d_{o}  }{d_{o}+d_{i}  }

f=\frac{-59.4*23.4}{23.4-59.4} \\

f=\frac{-1389.96}{-36}

f=38.61cm

The focal length is positive which indicates converging lens

power p=\frac{1}{f}

but f\\ must be in metres

Therefore, f=38.61cm=0.3861m

p=\frac{1}{0.3861}

p=2.59 Diopter

Rooted plants are most likely found in which aquatic zone?
Mnenie [13.5K]

Ans. Littoral zone.

Littoral zone can be defined as the area of a rive, sea, or lake, which lies close to the shore. It is characterized by abundant sunlight, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, and high water motion. These characteristics make it suitable for   marine life. Hence, littoral zone is enriched with various plants and animal species, and coral reefs.

A 0.45 m radius, 500 turn coil is rotated one-fourth of a revolution in 4.01 ms, originally having its plane perpendicular to a
AysviL [449]

Answer:

B = 0.126 T

Explanation:

As per Faraday's law we know that rate of change in magnetic flux will induce EMF in the coil

So here we can say that EMF induced in the coil is given as

EMF = \frac{\phi_2 - \phi_1}{\Delta t}

initially the coil area is perpendicular to the magnetic field

and after one fourth rotation of coil the area vector of coil will be turned by 90 degree

so we can say

\phi_1 = NBAcos 0 = BA

\phi_2 = NBAcos 90 = 0

now we will have

EMF = \frac{NBA}{t}

10,000 V = \frac{(500)(B)(\pi \times 0.45^2)}{4.01\times 10^{-3}}

B = 0.126 T
