Austin determined that he has $13.50 in his piggy bank just in quarters and dimes. If q represents the number of quarters he has

and d represents the number of dimes, which equation, written in standard form, represents this scenario?
q + d = 13.50
0.10q + 0.25d = 13.50
5q + 2d = 270
2q + 5d = 270

Solve the equation for all real solutions in simplest form.<br> z^2 - 12z +9= -3
Mars2501 [29]

Answer:

Solving the equation for all real solutions in simplest form.

z^2 - 12z +9= -3 we get \mathbf{z=10.9\: or\: z=1.1}

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to solve the equation for all real solutions in simplest form.

z^2 - 12z +9= -3

First simplifying the equation:

z^2 - 12z +9+3= -3+3\\z^2 - 12z +12= 0

Now, we can solve the equation using quadratic formula:

z=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

we have a = 1, b=-12 and c=12

Putting values in formula and finding values of x

z=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}\\z=\frac{-(-12)\pm\sqrt{(-12)^2-4(1)(12)}}{2(1)}\\z=\frac{12\pm\sqrt{144-48}}{2}\\z=\frac{12\pm\sqrt{96}}{2}\\z=\frac{12\pm9.8}{2}\\z=\frac{12+9.8}{2}\:or\:z=\frac{12-9.8}{2}\\z=10.9\:or\:z=1.1

So, we get value of z: z=10.9 or z=1.1

Solving the equation for all real solutions in simplest form.

z^2 - 12z +9= -3 we get \mathbf{z=10.9\: or\: z=1.1}

In a triangle, the measure of the first angle is three timesthree times the measure of the second angle. the measure of the thi
polet [3.4K]

1st angle = 3x

2nd angle = x

3rd angle = 65 +x

3x + x +65+x = 180

5x+65 = 180

5x=115

x = 115/5 = 23

 2nd angle = 23 degrees

 1st angle = 23 x 3 = 69 degrees

3rd angle = 65 +23 = 88 degrees

Can two equilateral triangles always be congrunet ? give resons
erastova [34]

SOLUTION :

YES as well as NO , two equilateral ∆s can be congruent if any of their side matched to one another,

& CANNOT be congruent if any of their side didn't matched in terms of length (magnitude).

NEED HELP FAST DONT UNDERSTAND
lara [203]

#1 alright so if the ratio is 5:4 adding them together is 9 but we want 36 as the perimeter sooo

36/9=4

So multiply both the 5 and the 4 makes....

20:16

The 20 and 16 show the total side of the length Andy width so we need to divide them by two so...

(20/2):(16/2)=10:8 so the width would be 8

Check:10(2)+8(2)=20+16=36 yay on to the next one!

#2 ok let's say the length is x, that means the width would be x-5 so the perimeter of that would be 4x-10. Sooo...

4x-10=54 || 4x=54+10 || 4x=64 || x= 16

So the length is 16 while the width is 11. Let's check in case.

16(2)+11(2)=32+22=54 yup :D
