SOH CAH TOA tells you

... cos(B) = a/c

... 4/5 = 8/c

... c = 10 . . . . . multiply by 5c/4

By the Pythagorean theorem,

... b = √c² -a²) = √(10² -8²) = √36 = 6

The lengths of the other two sides are: b = 6, c = 10.

_____

You can tell from the value of the cosine that this is a 3-4-5 right triangle. You can tell from the value of "a" that the scale factor is 2. That means the other two sides are 6 and 10.

The Cinema Center consists of four theaters: Cinemas I, II, III, and IV. The admission price for one feature at the Center is $5
zzz [600]

Answer:

a) Matrix B = \left[\begin{array}{c}5\\7\\9\end{array}\right]

b) Matrix AB = \left[\begin{array}{c}2525\\3620\\2845\\3705\end{array}\right]

c) $12,695

Step-by-step explanation:

Matrix A = \left[\begin{array}{ccc}225&110&70\\95&160&225\\280&65&110\\0&240&225\end{array}\right]

a) Matrix B = \left[\begin{array}{c}5\\7\\9\end{array}\right]

Gross Receipt = AB

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}225&110&70\\95&160&225\\280&65&110\\0&240&225\end{array}\right] . \left[\begin{array}{c}5\\7\\9\end{array}\right] = \left[\begin{array}{c}2525\\3620\\2845\\3705\end{array}\right]

c) Total revenue is the sum of receipts from 4 cinemas given in part b

Hence,

Total revenue = $2525 + $3620 + $2845 + $3705 = $12,695

On Monday 430 students went on a trip to the zoo all 9 buses were filled and seven students had to travel in cars how many stude
tankabanditka [31]

Answer: 47 students

Step-by-step explanation:

430 students went on a trip with the majority of them going on buses.

7 students however, had to use cars.

The number of students who used buses are:

= 430 - 7

= 423 students

The number of students in each bus is:

= No. of students taking buses / no. of buses

= 423 / 9 buses

= 47 students

A regression was run to determine if there is a relationship between hours of TV watched per day (x) and number of situps a pers
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

A person who watches 8.5 hours of TV can do 30.4 sit ups.

Step-by-step explanation:

The regression equation is used to predict or estimate the value of the response (or dependent) variables using the information about the explanatory (or predictor) variables.

The general form of a regression equation is:

y=ax+b

Here,

<em>y</em> = dependent variable

<em>x</em> = independent variable

<em>a</em> = intercept

<em>b</em> = slope

The regression equation representing the relationship between hours of TV watched per day (<em>x</em>) and number of sit ups a person can do (<em>y</em>) is:

y=-0.74x+36.359

Compute the number of sit ups a person who watches 8.5 hours of TV can do as follows:

y=-0.74x+36.359

  =(-0.74\times 8.5)+36.359\\=-6.29+36.659\\=30.369\\\approx 30.4

Thus, a person who watches 8.5 hours of TV can do 30.4 sit ups.
