I William page $54 for three cases of gum if each case of case has 24 packs what is the cost per pack of gum
Zina [86]
I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but I'll try to help anyway!

So if I'm not misinterpreting the question, you're asking how much one pack of gum would cost, and the packs are in a case which is in the deal of the 3 for $54

Then lets get started!

If you pay $54 for 3 cases, then how much would 1 case of gum be?

$54 / 3 = $18 per case

Then we consider the packs in a case.

Each one has 24 packs and you want to find how much 1 pack would cost. So do the same thing as before!

Cost of one case / number of packs
= $18 / 24
=$3/4 = 75 cents.

Hope this helps!

How do you write algebraic expressions to model quantities?
katovenus [111]
To write algebraic expressions to model quantities is you base the algebraic expressions or mathematical values declared in words by the manner of how the sentence illustrates the said problem. For example, one minus a number is the difference of zero shall be
1. 1 – n = 0.
Other same examples, John bought 25 apples while Julia bought only 15 from the market. If Niccole bought twice as much as Julia’s, how many was Niccole’s apples?
1. You state the problem by the sequence of the said problem and understanding the possible structure.
2. Solution will be Julia = 15 apples Niccole = 2Julia
Hence, 2Julia = 2(15) = 30 apples.

Jrian"s plane was supposed to leave at 1:25. If he arrived one hour and 52 minutes early, what time did he arrive at the airport
Arturiano [62]
11:27

First, 1:25 to 1:00 would be 25 minutes early. Therefore, you do 52 - 25 = 33. One hour and 33 minutes early now. Then, you do one hour before 1:00 which would be 12:00. Finally, you would do 60 - 33 because 12:00 is technically 12:60. 60 - 33 = 27. The answer is 11:27.
