Ari and Greg share a 12-ounce bucket of clay. By the end of the week, Ari has used 1 6 of the bucket, and Greg has used 2 3 of t
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

2 ounces of clay is left in the bucket

Step-by-step explanation:

Total amount of clay in the bucket = 12 ounce

Ari used 1/6th of the clay in the bucket and Greg used 2/3 of the clay in the bucket

Hence, the remaining clay in the bucket

12 - 1/6 *12 - 2/3 * 12

12 - 2-8

Find the measure of the largest angle in ABC if a = 12, b = 8 and c = 13.
Papessa [141]

Answer:

C=78.28^{\circ \:}

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given a triangle

whose sides are

a=12

b=8

c=13

Since, c is largest among them

So, angle C must be largest angle

we can find angle C

we can use law of cosine formula

cos(C)=\frac{a^2+b^2-c^2}{2ab}

now, we can plug values

cos(C)=\frac{12^2+8^2-13^2}{2\times 12\times 8}

cos(C)=\frac{13}{64}

now, we can find angle

we get

C=78.28^{\circ \:}

Maths Problem. I can't quite explain it, could you help please? Thanks for every good answer. All shown on the picture :)
Nimfa-mama [501]

This is something you would do through trial and error. At least, that's the approach I took. I'm not sure if there is any algorithm to solve. The solution I got is shown in the attached image below. There are probably other solutions possible. The trick is to keep each number separate but not too far away so that the other numbers to be filled in later don't get too crowded to their neighbor.

Side note: any mirror copy of what I posted would work as well since you can flip the page around and it's effectively the same solution.
