The complete question is:

1.) The probability distribution of a random variable is:

a.)the possible values of the random variable.

b.)the degree to which the variable’s possible values are spread out.

c.) the possible values of the random variable and the frequency with which the variable takes each value.

The correct answer is c) the possible values of the random variable and the frequency with which the variable takes each value.

Step-by-step explanation:

The probability distribution for a random variable shows the distribution of the probabilities of the possible value of the random variable. The probability of a random variable can be seen as the possible values of the random variable and the frequency with which the variable takes each value.

We are trying to represent the change in position of a bird flying down 7 ft to the ground.

Often, for the y axis- up is positive and down is negative.

Change in position is displacement- how far it was from the starting point

( different from distance which is how far is traveled

ex. doubling back would have distance they traveled some distance while the displacement is 0 because they are back to where they started).

The bird is going down 7 ft from where it originally was, which can be represented by

Bird's displacement = -7 ft

A line segment has endpoints P(-1,5)and Q(5,2) find the coordinate of that trisect the segment
musickatia [10]

Answer:

(1, 6).  The second is (-1 + 2 + 2, 1 + 1 + 1), or (3, 3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Moving from P to Q, we see that x increases by 6  and y increases by 3.

"Trisect" means "divide into three equal subintervals."

We find (1/3) of 6 (which comes out to 2) and (1/3) of 3 (which comes out to 1).

Thus, the first junction (between 1st and 2nd trisection) is (-1 + 2, 5 + 1), or (1, 6).  The second is (-1 + 2 + 2, 1 + 1 + 1), or (3, 3)
