<h3>Answer:  Height = 6 inches</h3>

================================================

Work Shown:

A = area of pyramid base = 6*6 = 36 square inches

h = unknown height

V = volume of pyramid

V = 72 .... given info

V = (1/3)*A*h ... pyramid formula

72 = (1/3)*36*h

72 = 12h

12h = 72

h = 72/12

h = 6

Find the area of the figure. If you need to use pi in your computation, approximate its value as 3.14. Round to the nearest hund
Firlakuza [10]
I find it easier to have a visual for when solving for shapes. You should solve for area of the semicircles by doing A=(3.14r^2)/2
Radius in this case is the base /2
In a Calculator that can be inputted as (3.14(4))/2

for this problem though I'm afraid that I need to know whether the height belongs to the figure as a whole or just regarding the rectangle.

If it is just the rectangle then we can do A=B*h
A= 4*5= 20
20 + semicircle
20 + 6.28
Total= 26.28

Answer:

  9 units

Step-by-step explanation:

The top base has a length that is the difference between the x-coordinates of points A and B:

  0 -(-11) = 11

The bottom base has a length that is the difference between the x-coordinates of points C and D:

  -1 -(-8) = 7

The mid-segment has a length that is the average of the base lengths:

  (11 +7)/2 = 18/2= 9 . . . units; midsegment length
