Assume that the gas being referred to above is ideal such that by Gay - Lussac's Law:
                                  T1P2 = T2P1
Thus, increasing the value of the temperature, would also correspond to an increase in the value of the pressure. This is because the molecules are moving faster at a higher temperature.

Calculating the Molecular Weight and Subunit Organization of a Protein From Its Metal Content The element molybdenum (atomic wei
Deffense [45]

Answer:

Dimer of two peptide chains with 1 mole of molybdenum metal each.

Explanation:

Percentage of molybdenum in protein = 0.08%

Molecular mass of nitrate reductase = 240,000 g

Mass of molybdenum = x

0.08\%=\frac{x}{240,000 g}\times 100=192 g

Moles of molybdenum =\frac{192 g}{95.95 g/mol}=2.00 mol

Each peptide chain of nitrate reductase contain 1 mole of molybdenum.

This means that nitrate reductase is composed of to two peptide chains. And in each peptide there is a single mole of molybdenum metal.

How many grams of Na2SO4 should be weighed out to prepare 0.5L of a 0.100M solution?
Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer:

7 gram of Na2SO4 should be required to prepare 0.5L of a 0.100 M solution.

Explanation:

First of all the molecular weight of Na2SO4 is 142.08 gram. Now we all know that if the molecular weight of a compound is dissolved in 1000ml or 1 litee of water then the strength of that solution becomes 1 M.

According to the given question we have to prepare 0.100 M solution

1000 ml of solution contain 142.08×0.1= 14.208 gram Na2SO4

1    ml of solution contain     14.208÷1000= 0.014 gram

0.5L or 500ml of solution contain 0.014×500= 7gram Na2SO4.

So it can be stated that 7 gram of Na2SO4 should be required to prepare 0.5L of a 0.100M solution.

Which of the following is a list of the minimum amount of data needed for determining the molar enthalpy of solution of KCl(s) i
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer:

 (C) Mass of KCl(s), mass of H20, initial temperature of the water, and final temperature of the solution

Explanation:

molar enthalpy of solution of KCl(s) is heat evolved or absorbed when one mole of KCl is dissolved in water to make pure solution . The heat evolved or absorbed can be calculated by the following relation.

Q = msΔt where m is mass of solution or water , s is specific heat and Δt is change in temperature of water .

So data required is mass of water or solution , initial and final temperature of solution , specific heat of water is known .

Now to know molar heat , we require mass of solute or KCl dissolved to know heat heat absorbed or evolved by dissolution of one mole of solute .

White phosphorus is composed of tetrahedral molecules of P4 in which every P atom is connected to three other P atoms. In the Le
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

In the Lewis structure of P4 there are 6 bonding pairs and 4 lone pairs of electrons.

Explanation:

The structure of tetrahedral molecule of P4 is provided below.

Each phosphorus atom has 5 valence electrons out of which 3 electrons involve in bonding and the rest 2 electrons exist as a lone pair that does not involve in bonding.Hence each phosphorus atom has one lone pair.In P4 molecule there are phosphorus atoms and hence 4 lone pairs in total.

As you can see in the figure, each phosphorus atom is bonded to the other three atoms.A bond is formed when two atoms share one electron each and the pair is called bonding pair.

From the figure we can see that there are 6 bonds in total. Each bond consist of one bonding pair of electrons and hence in total there are 6 bonding pairs of electrons.

Hence in a P4 molecule there are six bonding pairs and 4 lone pairs of electrons.
