If the population of the white-bark tree is reduced to half, then it will directly effect the level of steep slopes causing destabilization inside it.Along with that, it will also influence and reduce the amount of snow melt by sustaining snow drifts. As decrease in the number of this specie of plant's number will decrease the normal cycle inside the environment, if the cycle is disturbed.Then it will be responsible for the imbalance inside the nature. While it may also cause some of the hazardous events inside the biosphere.

• May cause the decrease in population of the wild life:

There are many species which are benefited by the presence of  white bark trees, if the number of white bark tress declines to half then the species present will suffer greatly inside the region.
