Answer:

126 = n × (n - 5)

Step-by-step explanation:

If Nikki's age is n and she is 5 years older than Jamie, then Jamie is 5 years younger than Nikki's n number of years.

Answer:

Let, Nikki's age is 'n'.

Since, Jamie is 5 years younger than Nikki, let Jamie's age be 'n-5'

According to the question,

The product of their age is 126.

which means,

Nikki's Age × Jamie's age = 126

⇒ n × (n-5) = 126

⇒ n² - 5n = 126

⇒ n² - 5n - 126 = 0

Now you can do the middleterm,

⇒n² - 14n + 9n - 126 =0

⇒ n ( n - 14 ) + 9 (n - 14 ) = 0

⇒ ( n - 14 ) ( n + 9 ) = 0

since n's value can not negative

⇒ ( n - 14 ) = 0

∴ n = 14

Nikki's age is 14

and Jamie's age is 9 years

Len [333]

Answer:

Angle 3 is 49 degrees

=============================

Explanation:

Angle 1 is 50 degrees and angle 2 is 48 degrees. Added up, they total to 98 degrees. This is angle DEF.

Angle DEF is congruent to angle ABC because they are alternate exterior angles and because lines m and n are parallel

We are told that angle ABC is bisected (aka cut in half) because of line s; which means that the angles labeled "4" and "5" are exactly half that of angle ABC = 98 degrees

Therefore, angle 4 is 98/2 = 49 degrees and so is angle 3 (due to angles 3 and 4 being vertical angles; angle 3 = angle 4)

Answer:

 no

Step-by-step explanation:

The given lengths do not satisfy the Pythagorean theorem:

 34² ≠ 33² +16²

 1156 ≠ 1089 +256

The given sides do not form a right triangle.

_____

Alternate solution

You can also compute 34² -33² = (34+33)(34-33) = 67·1 = 67 ≠ 16².

Even simpler, a Pythagorean triple will never have zero or two even numbers. The numbers (16, 33, 34) cannot be a Pythagorean triple.
