A coil of wire with 50 turns lies in the plane of the page and has an initial area of 0.140 m2. The coil is now stretched to hav

e no area in 0.100 s. What are the magnitude and direction of the average value of the induced emf if the uniform magnetic field points into the page and has a strength of 1.25 T?

Answer:

Magnitude of induced emf will be 87.5 volt

Direction of induced emf will be clockwise

Explanation:

We have given number of turns in the coil N = 50

Initial area A=0.140m^2

Time is given dt = 0.1 sec

Magnetic field B = 1.25 T

From Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction

ne=-N\frac{d\Phi }{dt}=-NA\frac{dB}{dt}

e=-50\times 0.140\times \frac{1.25}{0.1}=-87.5volt

So magnitude of induced emf is 87.5 volt

Direction of induced emf will be clockwise

Two objects of different masses accelerate at the same rate. According to Newton’s second law of motion, the more massive obje
babymother [125]

Newton's Second law of motion is

F = m * a   ( force = mass * acceleration).

So if a is constant   then a = F 1 / m1  and  a = F2 / m2  then

F1 /m1 = F2 /  m2 and if  m1 > m2 then

F1 must be greater than F2.

Select the phrases that correctly describe density. Select one or more: a. Density is a physical property. b. Density determines
Serga [27]

Answer:

Options (A), (B), (D), and (E).

Explanation:

Density is a physical property that describes the relationship between mass and volume. This property shows whether an object will float or it will get sink. The density of substances changes with the changing temperature, as both are inversely proportional to each other.

Mathematically, density can be written as,

Density =  \frac{mass}{volume}

ρ = \frac{m}{v}     ,      Where, ρ = density, m = mass, v = volume

Thus, the correct answers are options (A), (B), (D), and (E).

John stirs the hot soup with a spoon the heat travels up the spoon to his hand by what process does the heat travel up the spoon
Gemiola [76]

Answer: is Second Law of Thermodynamics (conduction).

john stirs the hot soup with a spoon the heat travels up the spoon to his hand is due to the basic law of conduction, also known as the second law of thermodynamics . Heat always travels from hot things toward the cold things, is proved by the phenomena that a cup of tea always get cold, and and a cold dessert or ice cream always melts. Its not possible that the cup of tea become boiling by itself and similarly an ice cream getting frozen on its own in on a hot day. To understand this point there are three ways in which heat can travel namely, conduction, radiation and convection. The process due to heat travels up to the spoon from the soup towards john's hand is called conduction. Conduction is the process in which heat travels between two solid things that are at different temperature. Cooking soup in a saucepan with a metal spoon will make your fingers hot because of the conduction of heat, that travels through the boiling soup pan through metal spoon towards your hand.
