The best answer would be B 38 molecules of ATP.

According to some of newer sources the ATP yield during aerobic respiration is not 36–38, but only about 30–32 ATP molecules / 1 molecule of glucose. So in new textbooks 30-32 molecules is stated but that’s not a choice in ur question.

Hope this helps

Answer:

The correct answer will be option B (38).

Explanation:

Cellular respiration or oxidation of glucose proceeds in three sequential reactions: .Glycolysis, Kreb cycle and Electron transport chain (ETC)

 1 NADH₂ produces 3 ATP

 1 FADH₂ produces 2 ATP

During Glycolysis produce -

NADH₂- 2 molecules        =2x3 =   06 ATP

=2x4 =   08 ATP  depending on shuttle system

ATP-phosphorylation                   = 02 ATP (utilized during process)

So, net ATPs synthesized in glycolysis are -  08 ATP.

During Link reaction and Krebs cycle -

NADH₂- 8 molecules = 8x3=           24 ATP

FADH₂- 2 molecules = 2x2=            04 ATP

ATP-phosphorylation=                     02 ATP

so, net ATP produced in Link reaction and Krebs cycle are=  30 ATP

Hence, 08 ATP from glycolysis and 30 ATP from link and kreb cycle forms 38 ATP.

Thus, option B is the correct answer.

Why is water a better solvent for salt than oil is?
son4ous [18]
Water is better solvent for salt as compared to oil because water is a polar solvent. The water molecules are tend to attract each other and other polar molecules also because of their polarity. The oil molecules are non polar hence, they will not attract to any other polar molecules. Therefore, water is a better solvent for salt as compared to oil.

How does the composition of a typical lava dome differ from that of a typical fissure eruption?
Karolina [17]
A lava dome would most likely be composed of a very viscous lava rich in silica like a rhyolite which would cause it to dome upwards and solidify quickly rather than spread out over the surface of the earth like a fissure eruption which more likely would be like a basalt much less viscous and flowing more freely.
