Any change in motion (direction or speed) is a change in velocity.
Velocity is a vector quantity which means that it has a magnitude and a direction.

Speed, being a scalar quantity, is the rate at which an object covers distance. The average speed is the distance (a scalar quantity) per time ratio. Speed is ignorant of direction. ... The average velocity is the displacement or position change (a vector quantity) per time ratio.

-Velocity is the speed of any moving object in a given direction, whilst Speed is the rate of an object's ability to move.
-Velocity can change if the direction or time is changed, the basic equation of velocity is: v = d/t
v - velocity
d - distance
t - time
If one of these factors change, it affects the other.

If i = 1.70 A of current flows through the loop and the loop experiences a torque of magnitude 0.0760 N ⋅ m , what are the lengt
Alik [6]

Answer:

Length of the sides of the square loop is given by

s = √[(τ)/(NIB sin θ)]

Explanation:

The torque, τ, experienced by a square loop of area, A, with N number of turns around the loop and current of I flowing in the wire, with a magnetic field presence, B, and the plane of the loop tilted at angle θ to the x-axis, is given by

τ = (N)(I)(A)(B) sin θ

If everything else is given, the length of a side of the square loop, s, can be obtained from its Area, A.

A = s²

τ = (N)(I)(A)(B) sin θ

A = (τ)/(NIB sin θ)

s² = (τ)/(NIB sin θ)

s = √[(τ)/(NIB sin θ)]

In this question, τ = 0.076 N.m, I = 1.70 A

But we still need the following to obtain a numerical value for the length of a side of the square loop.

N = number of turnsof wire around the loop

B = magnetic field strength

θ = angle to which the plane of the loop is tilted, measured with respect to the x-axis.

If Tony and Tanya both run at the same speed and in the same direction and they both run for the same amount of time, what can y
Marina86 [1]

Answer: They travel equal distances

Explanation:

Distance is amount of space covered from one point to another. It is measured in metres. Distance = speed x time taken

In this case,

- Since Tony and Tanya both run at the same speed: let speed = b

- Also, both run for the same amount of time: let time = c

Therefore, distance covered by Tony and Tanya = speed x time taken

Distance = b x c

Distance = bc (i.e Tony travelled a distance of bc, so also Tanya)

Do you believe that global warming is happening? Tell why or why not. If you believe global warming is happening, what can we do
adoni [48]

Answer:

Yes I do believe global warming is happening, mainly because there is a plethora of data and research from scientists to support the claim. The effects of global warming around us are clearly observed as well, such as the rise in acidity in the oceans. Another example is in the Artic, where a natural occurence takes place. Ice freezes and cold salty water takes its place, and because of it's high density it sinks and sweeps across the ocean floor. That cold water is then replaced by warmer water, and this is called the global ocean conveyor belt. As seen through the example with the Artic, ocean temperature plays a key role in the conveyor belt. Climate change is fueled through human activities, which could harm the system. If one part of the conveyor belt were to break down, such as the one in the Artic,  nutrients will not be distributed to start the food chain. Organisms such as phytoplankton need those nutrients to thrive. If phytoplankton are endangered, all life in the oceans is endangered. So as we can see, global warming is extremely harmful to the environment and it's effects are observed around us.

To slow global warming down we should consume less meat, and go to vegan or vegetarian diets. Your carbon footprint is halved by consuming less meat and eating a more vegan or vegetarian diet. Another thing is that we as a society should stop using so much plastic. It takes more than a century to degrade, most landfills are composed of it. Microplastics also get into our oceans, and our fish end up consuming them.
