Any change in motion (direction or speed) is a change in velocity.
Velocity is a vector quantity which means that it has a magnitude and a direction.

Speed, being a scalar quantity, is the rate at which an object covers distance. The average speed is the distance (a scalar quantity) per time ratio. Speed is ignorant of direction. ... The average velocity is the displacement or position change (a vector quantity) per time ratio.

-Velocity is the speed of any moving object in a given direction, whilst Speed is the rate of an object's ability to move.
-Velocity can change if the direction or time is changed, the basic equation of velocity is: v = d/t
v - velocity
d - distance
t - time
If one of these factors change, it affects the other.

Arrange the quantities according to vector or scalar quantities: (a) Force (b) Displacement (c)Speed(d)Velocity(e)Density *
STatiana [176]

Answer:

Scalar quantities: a. Speed

b. Density

Vector quantities: a. Force

b. Displacement

c. Velocity

Explanation:

A vector quantity is a physical quantity that has magnitude and direction so force, displacement and velocity are considered vector quantities because they have magnitude and direction

A scalar quantity is a physical quantity that has magnitude and direction so speed and density are scalar quantities because they have magnitude only

It is known that the population mean for the verbal section of the SAT is 500 with a standard deviation of 100. In 2006, a sampl
kvasek [131]

Answer

given,

SAT is 500 with a standard deviation of 100.

a sample of 400 students whose family income was between $70,000 and $80,000 had an average verbal SAT score of 511.

sample mean = \dfrac{standard\ deviation}{\sqrt{n}}

                      = \dfrac{100}{\sqrt{400}}

                      = 5

95% confidence level is achieved within +/- 1.960 standard deviations.

1.960 standard deviations  x  5 is equal to +/- 9.8

confidence interval = 511 - 9.8   ---  511 + 9.8

                                = 501.2-----520.8

How can wind put off fire?
kipiarov [429]
♥ If the wind is strong enough it can do so.
♥ By having a strong enough wind you can blow out the fire before the flame can consume any more vapor.
♥ If the wind is fast enough, like a birthday cake candle for example, the wind will burn out.
