<em><u>Answer:</u></em>

Solids

<em><u>Explanation:</u></em>

<u>Solids</u> have definite shapes and definite volumes. The forces of attraction between the molecules of a solid substance are strong and the intermolecular spaces are very small. Due to this, the motion of molecules within a solid substance are very difficult that they only vibrate in their positions.

<u>For liquids</u>, they have definite volumes and indefinite shapes. The forces of attraction between the molecules of a liquid are intermediate and the the intermolecular spaces are intermediate as well. Due to this, the motion of molecules within a liquid substance is not as difficult as it is within solids.

Finally, <u>for gases</u>, they have indefinite shapes and indefinite volumes. The forces of attraction between the molecules of a gas are weak and the intermolecular spaces are large. Due to this, the motion of particles of gas is very easy.

Hope this helps :)

The forces of attraction limit the motion of particles most in a solid.

Further explanation:

The state of matter in which atoms or particles are closely packed in such a way that they cannot displace from their place, is called solid state. Particles or atoms cannot move freely.

Concept used:

Anything that occupies space is known as matter. Matter has length, breadth, height, mass, volume, surface area and other dimensions that are used to define a matter.

There are three main types of matter.

• Solid: In this state of matter the particles are tightly packed in such a way that they are fixed to their position. They have fixed shape, mass, volume and other dimensions. They are highly dense because of the fixed position of atoms.

• Liquid: In this state of matter particles are packed but less than the solid one. They have loosely packed atoms in such a way that they can move. They have fixed volume but indefinite shape and size. They are also dense but less than solids.

• Gas: in this state of matter particles are not packed in any way. Their particles are free to move anywhere. They have indefinite volume, shape and size. They are least dense because of the free movement of particles.

Thus, from above discussion it is clear that the motion of particles in solids is the least due to force of attraction between them.

An electric motor has an effective resistance of 22 22 and an inductive reactance of 72 12 when working under load. The voltage
Alecsey [184]

Answer:

Current amplitude, I = 5.57 A

Explanation:

It is given that,

Effective resistance, R = 22 ohms

Inductive reactance, L = 72 ohms

Voltage of the alternating source, V = 420 volt

The total impedance of the RL circuit is given by :

Z=\sqrt{R^2+L^2}

Z=\sqrt{(22)^2+(72)^2}

Z = 75.28 ohms

From Ohm's law,

V=I\times Z

I=\dfrac{V}{Z}

I=\dfrac{420}{75.28}

I = 5.57 A

So, the current amplitude of the electric motor is 5.57 A. Hence, this is the required solution.

Two identical parallel plate capacitors A and B connected to a battery of V volts w/ the switch S closed. The switch is now open
Basile [38]
The electrostatic energy stored in a capacitor with capacitance C_0, with a voltage difference V applied to it, and without dielectric, is given by
U_0 =  \frac{1}{2} C_0 V^2
Now let's assume we fill the space between the two plates of the capacitor with a dielectric with constant k. The new capacitance of the capacitor is
C_k = k C_0
So, the energy stored now is
U_k =  \frac{1}{2}C_k V^2= \frac{1}{2}kC_0 V^2

Therefore, the ratio between the energies stored in the capacitor before and after the introduction of the dielectric is
\frac{U_k}{U_0}= \frac{ \frac{1}{2}kC_0 V^2 }{ \frac{1}{2} C_0 V^2}=  k
