Is O2 hydrogen bonding or dipole dipole?

Chemistry

Answer:

HF is electronegative compared to O2. HF has delta plus and delta minus creating a dipole moment, it is a polar molecule therefore it has a higher boiling point. O2 which is symmetrical and non polar (looks like O=O) and therefore has no dipole moment.  Hydrogen bonds are hydrogen with N, O and F - the most electronegative elements. This makes the polarisation of the bond much stronger, and so the dipole-dipole bonding between them is stronger. (Since it is the attraction between partial positive charge and a partial negative charge, the larger the polarisation.

What is the molarity of NaOH if 83.5 mL of NaOH is needed to react with 35.0mL of a 0.275 M solution of H2SO4?
Lostsunrise [7]

Answer:

0.231 mol/L

Explanation:

The first step is to write the balanced equation for this reaction:

H_{2}SO_{4} +2NaOH ===> Na_{2}SO_{4}  +2H_{2}O

The second step is to find the number of moles in the acid:

number of moles = volume * concentration

                             = 0.035 L * 0.275 mol/L

                             = 0.009625 mol

The third step is to use the molar ratio from the balanced chemical equation to find the number of moles of NaOH that can neutralize 0.009625 mol of sulphuric acid.

n(sulphuric acid) : n(sodium hydroxide)

          1                :                   2

0.009625 mol    :                   x

x =  0.01925 mol

Fourth step is to calculate the concentration of sodium hydroxide:

concentration = \frac{number of moles}{volume} = \frac{0.01925}{0.0835} =0.231 mol/L

A multidose bottle of PO amoxicillin contains 336 ml.s and the patient takes 24 mLs per day. How many days will the patient be t
Anettt [7]

Answer:

The patient will be taking medicine for 14 days.

Explanation:

Volume of PO amoxicillin in multi-dose bottle = 336 mL

Volume of dose taken by patient in a 1 day = 24 mL

If the patient will be consuming whole volume of PO amoxicillin in multi-dose in x days.Then:

x\times 24 mL/day= 336 mL

x=\frac{336 mL}{24 mL/days}=14 days

x = 14 days

The patient will be taking medicine for 14 days.

A major landmass on Earth's surface made of crustal rock is a _____. Select one: a. continent b. landform c. formation d. plate
ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

a. continent

Explanation:

The major landmasses on the surface of the Earth made out of crustal rock are called continents. The continents are massive land masses. They lie on top of continental tectonic plates which are less dense and higher than the oceanic tectonic plates. In the present there are six continental masses, all with different shape and size. The continental masses that exist in the present are Eurasia, Africa, North America, South America, Australia, and Antarctica.
