The loss of Arctic ice leads to increase in sea level. This occurs as the melted ice run into oceans, and as the ice expand due to sunlight intensity.The aftermath of this is increase in flooding. Which may disrupt Cultivation of crops and  and animals  husbandry leading to shortage of foods - famine.

Besides, it leads to sea less will become less stable, vegetation cover will be destroyed,  animals specific to particular habitats are disappearing. This ultimately  affect human population survival.

As the ice melts in the arctic regions, the arctic sea levels and the other oceans stay the same. The weather however changes when this happens and results to the Greenland's melting ice sheet adding another 20 feet to sea level rise.

In summary, the melting of polar ice caps effects would result in sea levels rising around 220 feet or more worldwide.

This will lead to destruction of lives, houses and properties due to water submersion.
