Answer:

Time taken 2.49 s

Explanation:

Given

Initial Velocity u = 0 m/s

Height H = 100 ft

Solution

Using equation of motion

H = ut + \frac{1}{2}gt^2\\\\100 = 0 + 0.5 \times 32.2 \times t^2\\\\t= 2.49 second

0  = -16t^2 + 100    subtract 100 from each side

-100  = -16t^2     divide both sides by -16

100/16   = t^2       take the positive root of both sides

10/4  = t   =  2.5 seconds

Hope this helps :)

Two people travel from Columbus to Cleveland, one by car at an average velocity of 90km/h, and one by plane at an average veloci
Flura [38]

Answer:

Explanation:

Yes , their displacement may be equal .

Suppose the displacement is AB where A is starting point and B is end point .

The car is covering the distance AB by going from A to B on straight line . On the other hand plane goes from A to C , then from C to D and then from D to B . In this way plane reaches B from A on a different path which is longer than path of the car . In the second case also displacement of plane is AB . In the second case distance covered is longer but displacement is same that is AB .

How much work would it take to push two protons very slowly from a separation of 2.00×10−10m (a typical atomic distance) to 3.00
laiz [17]

Answer:

Work= -7.68×10⁻¹⁴J

Explanation:

Given data

q₁=q₂=1.6×10⁻¹⁹C

r₁=2.00×10⁻¹⁰m

r₂=3.00×10⁻¹⁵m

To find

Work

Solution

The work done on the charge is equal to difference in potential energy

W=ΔU

Work=U_{1}-U_{2}\\ Work=-kq_{1}q_{2}[\frac{1}{r_{2}}-\frac{1}{r_{1}} ]\\Work=(-9*10^{9})*(1.6*10^{-19} )^{2}[\frac{1}{3.0*10^{-15} }-\frac{1}{2*10^{-10} } ]\\  Work=-7.68*10^{-14}J

Which describes an atom that has fewer neutrons than protons and more electrons than protons?
aleksklad [387]

Answer:

negative ion

Explanation:

An atom that has fewer neutrons than protons and more electrons than protons is a negative ion.

The positively charged particles in an atom are the protons

The negatively charged particles in an atom are the electrons.

  The charge an atom carries depends on the balance between the number of protons and electrons in an atom.

  • When the number of protons is more than the number of electrons, the atom is positively charged.
  • When the number of electrons is more than the number of protons, the atom is negatively charged.
