what were some differences between the North and South that increased tensions between the two regions

First of all, the North and the South had big production differences.

Since the Northern states were by water they could build more factories than the south. This caused a much more biggest boom of industry than the South.

The south relied on agriculture more. The climate there had enough rain and rich soil to grow crops hence it caused plantation owners and farmers to use slaves more. Because of this, the South advocated for slaves more as they needed them to product food and get money.

The north also had more abolitionists since the north relied on machinery so they didn't need slaves and thought it was immoral.

This argued the South as they saw it as the North trying to affect their businesses. Furthermore, the South saw slavery as a necessary system since they claimed that black people didn't know any better and slaves were much better taken care of by their masters as they were feed and clothes (though this is obviously not true)

So in summary:
*climate and land differences=slavery vs. machinery
*South:Pro slavery vs. North:anti slavery

Bobby's mother knows that if she continues to nag Bobby to do the dishes, he will soon react to this aversive nagging by complet
Ulleksa [173]

Answer: Reinforcement

Explanation:

People learn through different ways. One way of learning is through the process called reinforcement. Reinforcements play a vital role in how fast a behavior is learned. Reinforcement means anything that triggers the likelihood of a response. Skinner proposed the theory of reinforcement.

Reinforcement can be by praising someone or nagging someone in the case of Bobby's mother. If the nagging eventually brings out a response from Bobby making him do the dishes without being told, a reinforcement has been applied.

The total number of deaths in a population due to a disease is the ______ rate. endemic mortality morbidity pandemic incidence
Lemur [1.5K]

The total number of deaths in a population due to a disease is the option(b) i.e, mortality rate.

A mortality rate of 9.5 (out of 1,000) in a population of 1,000 would represent 9.5 deaths per year in that entire population or 0.95% of the total. Mortality rates are commonly reported in units of deaths per 1,000 people per year.

The mortality rate is calculated by dividing the total number of deaths in a given area and year by the total population of that area. It is as easy as dividing D by P. D is the total number of fatalities, and P is the local population.

Excess mortality is the term used to describe when an event or illness results in more fatalities than anticipated. A condition that results in excess mortality is COVID-19. Data indicates that COVID-19 caused 50% more deaths than were anticipated in some severely affected countries over a specific time span.
