(3,-8) because it's a rectangle and rectangles have two sets of equal sides. So you add two to the x because that's what they did for the other side of the rectangle and you wouldn't want to have a lopsided rectangle.

Which linear inequality is represented by the graph?
Serga [27]

Answer:

A. y ≤ 1/2x + 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Well look at the graph,

It is a solid line with it shaded down,

meaning it is y ≤,

So we can cross out B. and D.

So the y intercept is 2, we know this because the y intercept is the point on the line that touches the y axis.

now the slope can be found by seeing how far away each points are from each other,

Hence, the answer is A. y ≤ 1/2x + 2

Find the midpoint of the line segment whose endpoints are (-2, 5) and (6, -9). (4, -4) (2, -2) (1, -4)
Rus_ich [418]

Answer:

(2,-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The midpoint of the line segment with endpoints (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2) has coordinates

\left(\dfrac{x_1+x_2}{2},\dfrac{y_1+y_2}{2}\right)

If the endpoints of the line segment are (-2,5) and (6,-9), then the midpoint has the coordinates

\left(\dfrac{-2+6}{2},\dfrac{5+(-9)}{2}\right)\\ \\\left(\dfrac{4}{2},\dfrac{-4}{2}\right)\\ \\(2,-2)
