so together the amount of people who chose beef should be 4/12 since you must find the greatest commen factor. Then you should add 4/12 and  24 im thinking and you would get 24.3333 but if your looking for a mix number it would be 24 3333/1000

hope this helps!

For the mean, add together all of the numbers together (let's call the total x) and count how many numbers there are. (let's call this number y). divide x by y, and that is your mean. for the median, put all the numbers in order, and the median is the number in the middle. if there are two numbers in the middle, add them together and divide them by 2.

A consumer organization inspecting new cars found that many had appearance defects (dents, scratches, paint chips, etc.). While
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

The expected number of appearance defects in a new car  = 0.64

standard deviation = 0.93(approximately)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

7% had exactly three, 11% exactly two, and 21% only one defect in cars.

Let X be no of defects in a car

P(X=3) = .07 , P(X=2) = .11 , P(X=3) = .21

P(X=0 ) = 1 - .07 - .11 - .21 = 0.61

The expected number of appearance defects in a new car =

E(X) = \nu = = \sum X P(X) =3\times 0.07 + 2\times0.11 + 3\times0.21 + 0\times0.61 = 0.64

\sigma^{2}  = variation of E(X) = \sum (X - \nu) ^{2}P(X) = (3 - 0.64) ^{2}\times0.07 + (2 - 0.64) ^{2}\times0.11 + (1 - 0.64) ^{2}\times0.21 + (0 - 0.64) ^{2}\times0.61

 = (2.36) ^{2}\times0.07 + (1.36) ^{2}\times0.11 + (.36) ^{2}\times0.21 + ( 0.64) ^{2}\times0.61 = 0.8704

standard deviation  =  \sqrt{\sigma^{2}} = \sqrt{0.8704^{2}} = 0.93(approximately)

What are the solutions of the equation x6 – 9x3 + 8 = 0? Use u substitution to solve.
Natalka [10]
X6 – 9x3 + 8 = 0
let u = x^3
u^2 - 9u + 8 = 0
(u-8)(u-1) = 0
u = 1,8
back substitute
1 = x^3
8 = x^3
