Sine rule

a/Sin(A) = b/Sin(B) = c/Sin(C)
     b
 C / |
a / _| A
    B  c

We know that a = 70 degrees and A = 25 foot
So 70/Sin(25) = Something
We also know we want C, and that c = 90 degrees
So 70/Sin(25) = 90/Sin(C)
Then you have to rearrange the equations. Start with Multiply all by Sin(C)
So [Sin(C)][70/Sin(25)] = 90
Then divide everything by 70/Sin(25)
So Sin(C) = 90/[70/Sin(25)]
Now you want to isolate C, so Sin-1 everthing
So C = Sin-1{90/[70/Sin(25)]}
So C = 32.91309534
To the nearest tenth, 32.9ft
Hope that helps :)

What passes through the points (-1/2 4) and (1/2 6). show your work
Maslowich

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of line which passes through these points is determined by:

p(x1,y1)=(-1/2,4) p(x2,y2)=(1/2,6)

\frac{y - y1}{y2 - y1}  =  \frac{x - x1}{x2 - x1}  \\  \frac{y - 4}{6 - 4}  =  \frac{x  +  \frac{ 1}{2} }{ \frac{1}{2} +  \frac{1}{2}  }  \\  \frac{y - 4}{2}  =  \frac{2x + 1}{2} \\ 2(2x + 1) = 2(y - 4) \\ 4x + 2 = 2y - 8 \\ 4x - 2y + 2 + 8 = 0 \\ 4x  - 2y + 10 = 0

A glass paperweight is shown below.
sasho [114]

Answer:

A=190.75\ cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The diameter of a hemisphere, d = 9 cm

Radius, r = 4.5 cm

We need to find the surface area of the paperweight. The formula for the surface area of a hemisphere is given by :

A=3\pi r^2\\\\A=3\times 3.14\times (4.5)^2\\\\A=190.75\ cm^2

So, the surface area of the paperweight is 190.75\ cm^2.

On Jiamin's trip to Wisconsin, her average rate of speed for the whole 5-hour trip was 62 miles per hour. For the first two hour
kotykmax [81]
The total length of Jiamin's trip was
   distance = speed × time
   distance = (52 mi/h) × (5 h) = 260 mi

The distance Jiamin traveled in her first 2 hours was
   distance = (50 mi/h) × (2 h) = 100 mi

That means she traveled the last (260 -100) mi = 160 mi in the remaining 3 hours. Her average speed for that portion of the trip was
   speed = distance / time
   speed = (160 mi) / (3 h) = (160/3) mi/h ≈ 53 1/3 mi/h

Jiamin's average speed for the last 3 hours of her trip was 53 1/3 mi/h.
