3.75 mol × 44 g/mol = 165 g

Experimental yield of the carbon dioxide gas = 112 g

The percentage yield of the reaction :

Yield\%=\frac{\text{actual yield}}{\text{Theoretical yield}}\times 100

=\frac{112 g}{165 g}\times 100=67.88\%

The elements in each group have the same number of electrons in the outer orbital. Or also called valence electrons. Khan academy has a great video online explaining why this happens. (It only happens for main group elements). Feel free to message me for a better explanation, I would explain now but I’m not sure how much you know about this.
