Answer:

electricfield at (0,0,0) is Et = 2 k q / a²

Explanation:

For the first part see the diagram , the field lines start from the positive charge and reach the negative charge, notice that no line should cross, some lines go to infinity

For the second part we use that the electric field is a vector quantity and therefore we add the field of each charge, using the equation

     E = k q / r²

Point (0,0,0)

We calculate for the charge -q which is at a distance R = a

   E1 = k (-q) / a²

   E1 = - kq / a²

As the test charge is positive in the field it goes to the left, attractive force

We calculate for the charge that is also at R = a

    E2 = k q / a²

This field goes to the left, repulsive force

We find the total electric field

    Et = E1 + E2

    Et = kq / a² + kq / a²

    Et = 2 k q / a²

Point (0,0, R)

We use the same equations, but with another distance, for the charge -q the distance is R = R+a and for the charge + q the distance is R = R-a

     E1 = k q / (R + a)²

     E2 = kq / (R-a)²

     Et = kq [1 / (R + a)² + 1 / (R-a)²]

     Et= kq {[(R-a)² + (R + a)²] / [(R + a)² (R-a)²]}

     Et= kq {2 (R² + a²) / [(R + a)² (R-a)²]}

If we use the condition that  R> a we can despise in the patents "a"

     (R² + a²) = R² (1+ a² / R²) ≈ R²

     (R + a)² = R² (1 + a / R)² ≈ R²

     (R- a)²  = R² (1-a / R)² ≈ R²

Substituting in the total electric field

     Et = kq {2 R²) / [R²R²]}

     Et =kq 2 / R²

3. A bee flies forward at 4.9 for 33 s, lands on a flower and stays there for 7s, then flies back along its previous route at 1.
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

None of these is correct.

Explanation:

The average speed can be derived from the sum of the total distance traveled and the total time taken.

 Total distance = 4.9 + 1.9  = 6.8

  Total time taken  = 33 + 39  = 72

So;

 Average speed  = \frac{total distance}{total time}  = \frac{6.8}{72}   = 0.014

None of the answer choices given is correct.

Why is jupiter made of the same elements as the sun but is only considered a planet
Korolek [52]

Answer:

The ancient Greeks counted the Earth's Moon and Sun as planets along with Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. Earth was not considered a planet, but rather was thought to be the central object around which all the other celestial objects orbited.   ......     Jupiter is composed of gases — hydrogen and helium, mostly — all ... the largest planet in the solar system, the gas giant just doesn't have ... But unlike the sun, it lacks the necessary amount to begin fusion, the process that fuels a star. ... to 80 times more massive than it is at present to be considered a star.

Why would companies want their sunscreen to absorb nearly all of the UV light?
miskamm [114]

Answer:

Sunscreen is like a shield, you would want a better shield to protect you than a weak one so companies try to make their sunscreen better than the rest.

(a) Circular metal wires in electrical circuits may have different cross-sectional areas (different diameters) and different len
WARRIOR [948]

For the different wires the values given are

For Wire A,  Area=A_{A}, Resistivity=ρ_{A}, Length= L_{A}, Heat=H_{A}, Voltage= V, Time= t, Wire B,  Area=A_{B}, Resistivity=ρ_{B}, Length= L_{B}, Heat=H_{B}

So, H_{A}/ H_{A}=\frac{V^{2} *t}{\frac{ρ(1)*L_{A}  }{A_{A} } }/\frac{V^{2} *t}{\frac{ρ(2)*L_{B}  }{A_{B} } }

Therefore H_{A}/ H_{A}= \frac{A_{A}*ρ_{B} *L_{B}}{A_{B}ρ_{A} L_{A}  }

<h3>Heat</h3>

The type of energy that moves between two materials with varying temperatures is referred to by scientists as heat. Because the average translational kinetic energy per molecule in the two materials varies, an energy transfer takes place. Up until thermal equilibrium is attained, heat is transferred from the substance with the higher temperature to the material with the lower temperature. The joule, with 1 joule equalling 1 newton meter, is the SI unit of heat. Imagine the following situation to better comprehend what happens when this energy transfer takes place: Tiny rubber balls are bouncing all over two distinct containers that are full with them. The difference between the average ball speed in one container and the second container is substantial.

(a) Circular metal wires in electrical circuits may have different cross-sectional areas (different diameters) and different lengths. For a given applied voltage, how would the joule heat vary with these parameters
