Answer: marble 4 (40g)

Explanation:

The kinetic energy of an object is given by:

E_k = \frac{1}{2}mv^2

where

m is the mass of the object

v is its speed

In this problem, all the marbles have same speed (v=3 m/s), so their difference in kinetic energy depends on their different mass only. In particular, we see that the kinetic energy is proportional to the mass: therefore, the larger the mass, the more the kinetic energy.

For this reason, the ball with the greatest kinetic energy is marble 4, which has the greatest mass (40 g). Its kinetic energy is given by

E_k=\frac{1}{2}(0.04 kg)(3 m/s)^2=0.18 J

A bicyclist of mass 112 kg rides in a circle at a speed of 8.9 m/s. If the radius of the circle is 15.5 m, what is the centripet
kogti [31]
The centripetal force, Fc, is calculated through the equation,
                                    Fc = mv²/r
where m is the mass,v is the velocity, and r is the radius.
Substituting the known values,
                                     Fc = (112 kg)(8.9 m/s)² / (15.5 m)
                                         = 572.36 N
Therefore, the centripetal force of the bicyclist is approximately 572.36 N.

Does the depth of a pot affect how water freezes
Iteru [2.4K]
In my opinion it does. The more water the pot holds, the longer you need to wait for it to freeze. Since there is more water, some parts may not be completely frozen. An experiment you can try is to get an ice cube container and a pot. fill both of them and put them in the freezer for the same amount of time. When you take it out, the ice cubes should be frozen leaving the pot with cold water.

How is thermal energy naturally transferred between objects?
Sladkaya [172]

The second law of thermodynamics establishes restrictions on the flow of thermal energy between two bodies. This law states that the energy does not flow spontaneously from a low temperature object T1, to another object that is at a high temperature T2.

For example. Suppose you place your cell phone on the table. Your phone is at a temperature of 40 ° C and the table is at 19 ° C. Then, it is impossible for the table to spontaneously transfer its thermal energy to the telephone, and so that the table gets colder and the telephone warmer.

Finally we can say that the correct option is B: From the hotter object to the cooler object
