Required amount of chicken stock = 2\frac{1}{2} = \frac{5}{2}L

Total amount of extra recipe made = 3\frac{1}{4}=\frac{13}{4}L

Total amount of chicken made is =  \frac{13}{4} * \frac{5}{2}= \frac{65}{8}L

Hence Josh made total \frac{65}{8} L of chicken soup.

Converting it to mixed fraction we get,

8\frac{1}{8} L

Joan waters her plants each day with gallons of water. With a new irrigation system in place, she uses gallons of water each day
vampirchik [111]

Answer:

172\frac{1}{2} gallons

Step-by-step explanation:

Considering she waters her plants with 25 1/2 gallons  i.e 51/2

and with the new system, she does it with 19 3/4 i.e 79/4

taking the difference:

\frac{51}{2} - \frac{70}{4} = \frac{23}{4} gallons per day

For 30 days:

30 x \frac{23}{4} = 172.5 or 172\frac{1}{2} gallons

How do you find the height and area of this triangle
Doss [256]
Because the triangle is an equilateral triangle, you know that all of the angles are equal to 60°. That means that you can use trigonometry to find the height, which would be sin(60) × 20 = 17.32.

Again, because it is an equilateral triangle, all sides are equal as well, meaning that the base is also 20cm. To find the area of the triangle, we must do (20 × 17.32)/2 = 173.2cm^2, which is the area.

I hope this helps!

A landscaping company placed two orders with a nursery. The first order was for 13 bushes and 4 trees and totaled $411
saw5 [17]

Answer:

Cost of 1 bushes = a = $9

Cost of 1 tree = b = $73.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

13 bushes and 4 trees cost = $411

Missing;

6 bushes and 2 trees cost = $201

Find:

Value of bushes and tree

Computation:

Cost of 1 bushes = a

Cost of 1 tree = b

So,

13a + 4b = 411 ...........eq1

6a + 2b = 201 ................eq2

From Eq1 and Eq2

Cost of 1 bushes = a = $9

From eq 1

13a + 4b = 411

13(9) + 4b = 411

Cost of 1 tree = b = $73.5
