When the manager who is conducting the interviews calls Andrew, he tells him that because he has not talked to any of the other candidates yet, Andrew can decide when he would like his individual interview to be. As Andrew can choose any position that he likes, the best thing for him to do would be to choose either the first or the last position for the interview. This is because this would give him a slight advantage over other competitors. The interviewer is more likely to clearly remember the first and the last interviewee. Therefore, Andrew would have the chance of leaving a more indelible mark on the mind of the interviewer.
