42 people would receive carrot cake because 112/8 is 14 and 14 multiplied by 3 (which is the amount of 5ths of people that will receive the carrot cake) you would get 42

The first thing you need to do is figure this out...
  5/8 = __/112
=5/8 = 70/112 because 112/8 = 14, so you just had to do 5*14

Now we know that 70 people out of 112 were served chocolate cake, but we want to know how many people got carrot cake.

So now all you have to do is 112 - 70 to get 42

Answer: 42 people were served carrot cake

Drag each expression to the correct location in the equation. Not all expressions will be used.
Arisa [49]

The two rational expressions will be; (x + 2)/(x² - 36) and 1/(x² + 6x)

<h3>How to simplify Quadratic Expressions?</h3>

We want to determine the two rational expressions whose difference completes the equation.

The two rational expressions will be;

(x + 2)/(x² - 36) and 1/(x² + 6x)

Now, this can be proved as follows;

Step 2 [(x + 2)/(x² - 36)] - [1/(x² + 6)]

= [(x + 2)/(x + 6)(x - 6)] - [1/(x(x + 6)]

Step 3; By subtracting, we have;

[x(x + 2) - (x - 6)]/[x(x + 6)(x - 6)]

Step 4; By further simplification of step 3, we have;

[x² + x + 6]/[x(x-6)(x + 6)]

Use the result (a+b)²=a²+2ab+b² to find the value of 49²+98+1
Leto [7]

Answer:

2500

Step-by-step explanation:

a² + 2ab + b²

49² + 98 + 1

Comparing terms

a²= 49²

a= 49

2ab = 98

2× 49 × b = 98

98b = 98

b= 98/98

b = 1

or

b²= 1

b=√1

b= 1

a=49 and b= 1

Hence (a+b)²= (49+1)²

50²= 2500

The circumference of a circle is 22 cm.
valkas [14]

\bf \: Circumference \:  of  \: a \:  circle = 2\pi \: r

\implies22 = 2 \times  \dfrac{22}{7}  r

\implies22 =  \dfrac{44}{7}  \times r

\implies \: r =  \dfrac{22 \times 7}{44}

\implies \boxed{ r =  \dfrac{7}{2} }

Now,

\bf \: Area \:  of  \: circle = \pi {r}^{2}

\rightarrow \:  \frac{22}{7}   \times  ({ \frac{7}{2}) }^{2}

\rightarrow \frac{22}{ \cancel7}  \times  \frac{ \cancel{49}}{4}

\rightarrow \: 22 \times  \frac{7}{4}

\rightarrow \: 11 \times  \frac{7}{2}

\rightarrow \frac{77}{2}

\rightarrow \: 38.5 \: cm {}^{2}

Area of rectangle = 38.5 cm².
