Explanation:

The flowers are the main reproductive parts of the flower. These help in development of seeds which are the precursors of new plants on germination. The sepals, petals, stamen and carpels are the parts of the flower.

A sepal is the part of the flower which is of green color. It's function is to protect the flower in the bud stage and it often support the petal when the flower blooms.  

Petals can be considered as the modified leaves. These surrounds the reproductive parts of the flowers. These are often brightly colored so as to attract the pollinators. All the petals of the flower combine to form the corolla.

A stamen can be define as the male reproductive organ of the flower. It has two parts the anther and the stalk. The anther produces the pollen grains and the stalk bears the anther on it's head.

Carpels are the female reproductive organs of the flower. It consists of an ovary, stigma and style.
