Explanation:

There are basically three orders of the neurons. The first order of neurons carries signals from the periphery to the spinal cord.

The second order of neurons carries information from the spinal cord to thalamus.

The third  order of neurons carries information from the thalamus to the primary sensory cortex.

One side of the information from the body is transferred to opposite side of the brain by second order of neurons.
