The Metric System and Metric Conversions are both two different things , but still corresponds in a way. For example, the metric system is meter, liter, and gram as units of length. Metric conversions are when you use either meter, liter, or and gram and make a number to equal by moving a decimal.

A ramp is 2.8 m long and 1.2 m high. How much power is needed to push a box up the ramp in 4.6 s with a force of 96 N?
tino4ka555 [31]
Power = work /time

and  W = force * dis

W = 96 * 3.046 J = 292.44 J

P = 292.44 / 4.6 = 63.575 watt

Two balls have the same mass. One ball moving along the positive x–axis and the other ball moving along the positive y–axis unde
GalinKa [24]

Answer:

A. The balls stick and move together.

Explanation:

When a bodies undergo perfectly inelastic collision, the two bodies stick together after the collision and begins to move.

In this collision, kinetic energy is not conserved. For perfectly elastic collision, the two bodies conserve kinetic energy and begin to move apart.

Kinetic energy is not conserved because some of the energy gets converted into other forms of energy.

Two tugboats pull a disabled supertanker. Each tug exerts a constant force of 1.80×106 N , one at an angle 14.0 ∘ west of north,
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

W = 1,049 10⁹ J

Explanation:

Work is defined by the relation

         W = F. d = F d cos θ

where tea is the angle between the forces and the displacement.

The total work is the sum of the work of each tug.

Tug 1

       W₁ = F d cos θ₁

the angle measured from the positive side of the x-axis is

       θ₁ = 14 + 90 = 104º

tugboat 2

             W₂ = F d cos θ₂

             θ₂ = 14

we substitute

             W = F d cos θ₁ + F d cos θ₂

             W = F d (cos θ₁ + cos θ₂)

let's calculate

             W = 1.80 10⁶  800 (cos 104 + cos 14)

             W = 1,049 10⁹ J
