Answer: By Stoichiometry, 3 moles of chlorine gas reacts with 6 moles of sodium hydroxide solution to form 5 moles of sodium chloride, 1 mole of sodium chlorate (V) and 3 moles of water. Hence, the reaction between chlorine gas and hot, concentrated NaOH solution yields Sodium chloride and sodium chlorate(V).

Explanation: Hope it helps :)

How many grams would 1.00 billion atoms of sulfur weigh
Zielflug [23.3K]

Answer:

m_S=5.31x10^{-14}gS

Explanation:

Hello,

In this case, by knowing that we have 1 billion ( 1,000,000,000) of atoms of sulfur, via the Avogadro's number we can firstly compute the moles:

n_S=1,000,000,000atoms*\frac{1mol}{6.022x10^{23}atoms}\\\\ n_S=1.66x10^{-15}molS

Then, by using the atomic mass of sulfur (32 g/mol), we can finally compute the mass:

m_S=1.66x10^{-15}molS*\frac{32gS}{1molS}\\ \\m_S=5.31x10^{-14}gS

Best regards.
