Pretty certain it’s 416.25 meters

I used the speed formula
Speed = distance travelled / time interval

Then I isolated the distance by multiplying time interval on both sides of the equation

92.5 m/s = X
—- (4.5s) to isolate X
4.5 s

(4.5 s) 92.5 m
— (the seconds will cancel out) = 416.25 meters

8a. What is the equivalent resistance of the following circuit?
ollegr [7]

Answer: Take your pick

Explanation:

if they are all in parallel 1 /(1/100 + 1/300 + 1/50) = 30 Ω

if 50 is in parallel with 2 in series 1 / (1/(100 + 300) + 1/50) = 44.444...Ω

if 100 is in parallel with 2 in series 1 / (1/(50 + 300) + 1/100) = 77.777...Ω

if 300 is in parallel with 2 in series 1 / (1/(100 + 50) + 1/300) = 100 Ω

If 50 is in series with 2 in parallel 50 + 1/(1/100 + 1/300) = 125 Ω

If 100 is in series with 2 in parallel 100 + 1/(1/50 + 1/300) = 142.857...Ω

If 300 is in series with 2 in parallel 300 + 1/(1/50 + 1/100) = 333.333...Ω

If they are all in series 100 + 300 + 50 = 450 Ω

which of the four forces makes paint cling to a wall ?which force makes adhesive sticky?which force makes wax to stick a car ?
True [87]

Answer:

This question is incomplete

Explanation:

The question is incomplete because of the absence of options.

However, the force that makes a paint cling to a wall is adhesive force. Adhesive force is the force between two unlike substances like a liquid clinging to a solid surface.

The force between adhesives or glue is also the force that makes them sticky. This force is referred to as cohesive force. This is a force found in between similar molecules (unlike adhesive force found between dissimilar molecules).

The force that makes wax to stick to a car is electromagnetic force. This is a force between charged particles; whether they appear to be moving or not. These particles of opposite charges come together to form a neutral force. In this case, charged atoms of the car and the wax come together (which causes what we see as the wax sticking to the car).

You use a slingshot to launch a potato horizontally from the edge of a cliff with speed v0. The acceleration due to gravity is g
sergij07 [2.7K]

Answer:

t = 2 v₀ / g

Explanation:

For this projectile launch exercise we use the displacement equations

        x = vox t

       y = y₀ + v_{oy} t - ½ g t²

As it is launched horizontally the vertical velocity is zero and the point of origin of the coordinate system is here, so y₀ is zero.

       x = v₀ t

       y = ½ g t²

They ask us for the time for which

        x = y

        vo t = ½ g t²

         t = 2 v₀ / g

A person hums into the top of a well (tube open at only one end) and finds that standing waves are established at frequencies of
S_A_V [24]

Answer:

Explanation:

The resonance in a tube that is open at one end and closed at the other, we can find it because in the closed part you have a node and in the open part you have a belly, so for the fundamental frequency you have ¼ Lam, the different resonances are:

Fundamental              λ = 4L

3 harmonica               λ  = 4L / 3

5 Harmonica               λ = 4L / 5

General harmonica     λ = 4L / (2n-1)                n = 1, 2, 3

Let's apply this equation to our case

The speed of sound is given by

          v =  λ  f

          λ = v / f

Let's look for wavelengths

         λ₁ = 40.6 / 343 = 0.1184 m

         λ₂ = 67.7 / 343 = 0.1974 m

         λ₃ = 94.7 / 343 = 0.2761 m

Since the wavelengths are close we can assume that it corresponds to consecutive integers, where for the first one it corresponds to the integer n

          λ ₁ = 4L / (2n-1)

          λ₂ = 4L / (2 (n + 1) -1) = 4L / (2n +1)

          λ₃ = 4L / (2 (n + 2) -1) = 4L / (2n + 3)

Let's clear in the first and second equations

          2n-1 = 4L / λ₁

          2n +1 = 4L / λ₂

Let's solve the system of equations

         4L / λ₁ + 1 = 4L / λ₂ -1

         4L / λ₂ – 4L / λ₁ = 2

         2L (1 / λ₂ - 1 / λ₁) = 1

         1 / L = 2 (1 / λ₂ -1 / λ₁)

         1 / L = 2 (1 / 0.1974 - 1 / 0.1184)

         1 / L = 2 (5,066 - 8,446) = -6.76

         L = 0.1479 m
