As we know that work done to stretch the spring will be given as

U = \frac{1}{2}kx^2

so here we have

9 = \frac{1}{2}k(0.02)^2

so we have

k = 45000 N/m

now we need to find the work done to stretch the spring from x = 2 cm to x = 4 cm

here we have

U = \frac{1}{2}k(x_1^2 - x_2^2)

now we have

U = \frac{1}{2}(45000)(0.06^2 - 0.02^2)

U = 72 J

Sprinting near the end of a race, a runner with a mass 63 kg accelerates from a speed of 25 m/s to a speed of 26 m/s in 54 s. To
gavmur [86]

Answer:

1.1655 N

Explanation:

Given that,

Initial speed, u = 25 m/s

Final speed, v = 26 m/s

Time taken, t = 54 s

So, Applying equation of motion as:

v=u+at\\\Rightarrow a=\frac{v-u}{t}\\\Rightarrow a=\frac{26-25}{54}\ m/s^2\\\Rightarrow a=0.0185\ m/s^2

According to the Newton's second law of motion:-

Force=Mass\times Acceleration

Mass = 63 kg

So,

Force=63\times 0.0185\ kgm/s^2

<u>Force = 1.1655 N</u>

How was Bohr's atomic model different from those of previous scientists?
exis [7]

Answer:Bohr placed the electrons in distinct energy levels.  Rutherford described the atom as consisting of a tiny positive mass surrounded by a cloud of negative electrons. Bohr thought that electrons orbited the nucleus in quantised orbits.

Explanation: also rutherfords was just a hypothesis while Bhor took the time to make his an experiment

What type of magnetism is present in a bar magnet?
skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

It is made up of iron, steel or any other ferromagnetic substance or ferromagnetic composite, having permanent magnetic properties. The magnet has two poles: a north and a south pole. When you suspend it freely, the magnet aligns itself so that the north pole points towards the magnetic north pole of the earth.
