State if each triangle is a right triangle: *<br><br>13 in<br>2 in<br>12 in<br>
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

It would be a obtuse triangle instead

Step-by-step explanation:

By using pythagorean and theorem (a^2 + b^2 = c^2)

So it would be 13^2___2^2 + 12^2

When you square them, you get 169___4 + 144

144 + 4 = 148, which is less than 169

SO it would be 169>148

So no, not a right triangle

Find the sum of the least and greatest two digit prime numbers whose digits are also prime?
adoni [48]
First, we need to know the smallest two digit prime number. It can't start with one, since one is not prime, so it must start with two (or be in the twenties.) 20 is divisible by 2, 4, 5, and 10, 21 is divisible by 7 and 3, 22 is divisible by 2 and 11, so the smallest prime number is 23.

Now we need the largest two-digit prime number. It cannot start with nine or eight, since both are composite, so it must start with seven (be in the seventies.) 79 is the largest integer in the seventies and also happens to be prime, so there's our largest two digit prime number.

now we just need to add them for the sum:
23+79=102

hope I helped, and let me know if you have any questions :D

Select the correct answer.
BARSIC [14]

Answer:

D)    4x  + 2y  ≤  25   ,      x + y ≥  8     is the required system of inequalities

        to represent the given situation.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, let  the number of color copies =  x

Now, the time taken to print each color copy = 4 minutes

⇒Time taken to print x color copies = x times ( Time taken by each copy)

= 4 (x)   = 4x

and let  the number gray scale copies =  y

The time taken to print each gray scale copy = 2 minutes

⇒Time taken to print y gray scale copy = y times (Time taken by each copy)

= 2 (y)   = 2y

Total copies printed = x + y

Maximum time taken to print x  color copies and y grayscale copies

= 4x  + 2y

So, according to the question:

4x  + 2y  ≤  25 ( as maximum allotted time is 25 minutes)

and x + y ≥  8      (as minimum number of copies is 8)

hence, the above system is the required system of inequalities to represent the given situation.
