Answer:

The answer to your question is 50.76 g of H₂O

Explanation:

Data

mass of water = ?

mass of Li₃N = 32.9 g

Process

1.- Write the balanced chemical reaction

                    Li₃N  +  3H₂O   ⇒  3LiOH   +  NH₃

2.- Calculate the molar mass of Li₃N and H₂O

Li₃N = (3 x 7) + (1 x 14) = 35 g

H₂O = (2 x 1) + (16 x 1) = 18 g

3.- Use proportions to calculate the mass of water

                   35 g of Li₃N ---------------- (3 x 18) g of water

                    32.9 g of Li₃N ------------ x

                    x = (32.9 x 54)/35

                    x = 1776.6/35

                    x = 50.76 g of H₂O

You can predict its acidity (pH).

The formula for pH is: pH = log { 1 / [H+] } = log { 1 / (1*10^-12) }

=> pH = log {10^12} = 12.

Remember that acids have pH between 1 and less than 7 and basic compounds have pH greater than 7 and less than 14.

So, you can predict that this product is a base (alkaline).

Consider the above reaction. If some CO2 were removed from the container, what would the reaction do in an attempt to replace th
faltersainse [42]

Answer:

See explanation

Explanation:

The reaction to be considered is shown below;

H2CO3<------->CO2 + H2O

We know  that when a constraint such as a sudden change in concentration, pressure or temperature is imposed on  a reaction system in equilibrium, the system has to adjust itself by shifting in a particular direction in order to cancel the constraint.

Now, if we remove CO2, the equilibrium position must shift to the right by the decomposition of more H2CO3 to establish equilibrium again.

2.22 (a) Briefly cite the main differences between ionic, covalent, and metallic bonding. (b) State the Pauli exclusion principl
Alja [10]

Answer: Ioniç bond is also called electrovalent bond. It involves the transfer of electrons from positively charged ions to negatively charged ions. covalent bond is a type of chemical bond that involves electrons sharing by atoms of a molecule in order to achieve a stable electronic configuration.. Metallic bond is a type of chemical bond that forms between metal atoms and it occurs when positive metal ions are attracted to a negatively charged electron that are not associated with a single atom. The differences can be seen in the definitions above.

Pauli exclusion principle states that electrons which are identical cannot have the same quantum state.
