How to put into slope intercept form

Mathematics

Step-by-step explanation:

If you are given to different points on a slope you can find the slope by putting in the equation of

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

then pick one of the two points and put it in the point-slope formula with the new founded slope

y-y1=m(x-x1)

and then solve for y to get into the form of

y=mx+b m being the slope and b being the y-intercept

-If you are given the slope and just one intercept then just simply put it in the point-slope intercept

Example

Say you're given (-2,-2) and (4,1)

find the slope

x1=-2  y1=-2 and x2=4 y2=1

(1-(-2))/(4-(-2))

=3/6=1/2 this is the m

now put it in the point slope form

y-(-2)=1/2(x-(-2))

y+2=1/2x+1

  -2     -2

y=1/2x-1

Usimov [2.4K]

Answer:

We do not reject the null

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Sample size, n = 41

Test statistic ; Zstatistic ;= 1.53

Critical value ; Zcritical ; = 2.57

The null hypothesis H0 ;

H0: μ1 - μ2 = 0

Alternative hypothesis, H1 ;

H1: μ1 ≠ μ2

Decision region :

Reject Null ; if |Zstatistic ≥ Zcritical|

Zstatistic > Zcritical

Result :

1.53 < 2.57

Zstatistic < Zcritical

Hence, we do not reject the null ; there is no significant evidence that there is difference in the average yield of the two samples.

Proof by mathematical induction
Ghella [55]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

I will assume that 3n is the last term.

First let  n = k, then:

Sum ( k terms) =  7k^2 + 3k

Now, the sum of k+1 terms  = 7k^2 + 3k + (k+1) th term

=  7k^2 + 3k + 14(k + 1) - 4

=   7k^2 + 17k + 10

Now 7(k + 1)^2 = 7k^2 +14 k + 7 so

7k^2 + 17k + 10

=  7(k + 1)^2  + 3k  + 3

= 7(k + 1)^2 + 3(k + 1)

Which is the  formula for the Sum of k terms with the k replaced by k + 1.

Therefore we can say if the sum formula is true for k terms then it is also true for (k + 1) terms.

But the formula is true for 1 term because  7(1)^2 + 3(1) = 10 .

So it must also be true for all subsequent( 2,3 etc) terms.

This completes the proof.

9 u + 39 = 6 ( u + 2 ) <br>Someone please helpppp!!!!
Over [174]
9u+39=6(u+2)
multiply 6 by u and 2
9u+39=6u+12
9u-6u=12-39
3u=-27
u=-27/3
u=-9

hope this helped :)
