With our expression ( \frac{1}{2} ) ^{5}, we can distribute the exponent over the numerator and the denominator of the fraction. We then have \frac{ 1^{5} }{ 2^{5} }, in which we can simplify into \frac{1}{2^{5}}. We then get the final answer of \frac{1}{32}
