Her answer is wrong. You might spend an hour looking at her work....

but no! Her work is all right.

That line means those three digits are recurring - they repeat itself over and over.

But the pattern is 0.5454545454545454545... and so on.

Her answer?

0.545545545545545545545545545... and so on.

"0.545545"
     VS
"0.545454"

is different.

So the actual answer?

0.54, with the line on top of "54."

The line should be over the part that repeats
the real anser is 0.54545454
the part that repeats is 54
so it should be 0.54 with a line over it
by doing 0.545 witha line, that means 0.545545545545 which is wrong

eimsori [14]

Answer:

Rounded to the nearest integer, the test had 18 problems in all.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a student missed 10 problems on an English test and received a grade of 44%, if all the problems were of equal value, to determine how many problems were on the test the following calculation must be performed:

100 - 44 = 56

56 = 10

100 = X

100 x 10/56 = X

1,000 / 56 = X

17.85 = X

Thus, rounded to the nearest integer, the test had 18 problems in all.

Two sides of an isosceles triangle measures 26 and 10. What is the possible value of the third side?
spin [16.1K]

The third side of the triangle is 26.

Explanation:

Given:

Two sides of the isosceles  triangle are 26 and 10.

To Find:

The possible value of the third side

Solution:

Definition of Isosceles  triangle:

An isosceles triangle is a triangle with (at least) two equal sides. Isosceles triangle  has both two equal sides and two equal angles.

We also know the property of the triangle that

Sum of two sides of triangle > third side of the triangle

Case1. When third side is 10

Thee third side can’t be equal to 10 because it does not follow the rule of triangle

10+10>26………which is  not possible

So the third side of the isosceles triangle is 26.
