Why does the moon surface appear to change when seen from earth even though the sun always illuminates half of the moon?

It is because the earth is constantly spinning and rotating around the sun, and since our moon rotates around earth, the sun is reflecting light from different angles making only crescents or parts of the moon visible.
Hope that helps.

If you had a mass of 44 g and a volume of 40.5ml what is the density
klio [65]
Here, We know, Density = Mass / Volume
Here, mass = 44 g
volume = 40.5 ml = 40.5 cm³

Substitute their values,
d = 44 / 40.5
d = 1.086 g/cm³

In short, Your Answer would be  1.086 g/cm³

Hope this helps!

How does the shape of an plane wing help it to lift off the ground and fly
Licemer1 [7]

You drop a rock into a pond, and water waves spread out in circles. (a) The waves carry water outward, away from where the rock
coldgirl [10]

Answer:

Explanation:

wave motion is defined as the propagation of the disturbance due to continous vibration of the molecules of the medium. Waves oduced due to disturbance carry only energy but not the matter.

The waves move water up and down and carry the energy.

Therefoe, the statement "(a) The waves carry water outward away from where the rock hit. The moving water carries energy outward"is incorrect.

The waves move water up and down and carry the energy, but not matter.

Therefore, the statement "(c) The waves ony make the water move u and down. No energy is carried outward from where the rock hit" is incorrect.

When a rock is droed ito a pd, a disturbance starts from the point where the stone hits the water. The waves produced carry the energy from the starting point toother locatons over a large distance which is not possible by the single molecules of water.

Therefore, the statement "(c) The waves only make the water move up and down, but the waves do carry energy outward away from where the rock hit" is correct.

A liquid at rest in a fixed container exerts a force perpendicular to the wall of the container. Two students make claims about
Svetllana [295]

Answer:

C

Explanation:

Given that a liquid at rest in a fixed container exerts a force perpendicular to the wall of the container. Two students make claims about the microscopic cause of this force. Student A says that the force exerted by individual molecules as they bounce off the wall is always perpendicular to the wall. Student B says that the molecules may strike the wall at angles that are not perpendicular. Which student is correct and why?

The correct answer is option C

Student B . The molecules in a liquid are in random motion at the microscopic scale. For every atom that hits at an angle to one side of perpendicular, there is likely to be another atom hitting at the same speed at the same angle on the other side of perpendicular. On average the nonperpendicular components cancel
