1 degree is \dfrac\pi{180} radians. So 14 degrees is \dfrac{14\pi}{180}=\dfrac{7\pi}{90} rad.

Easy way to remember this: one complete revolution in a circle is 360 degrees. But it's also 2\pi radians. So the conversion rate is

\dfrac{2\pi\,\rm rad}{360^\circ}=\dfrac{\pi\,\rm rad}{180^\circ}

i.e. for every \pi radians there are 180º.

Answer:

\large\boxed{14^o=\dfrac{7\pi}{90}\ radians}

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{The formula for conversion of degrees to radians:}\\\\1^o=\dfrac{\pi}{180^o}\ radians\\\\x^o=\dfrac{x\pi}{180}\ radians\\\\\text{We have}\ x=14^o.\ \text{Substitute:}\\\\14^o=\dfrac{14\pi}{180}=\dfrac{7\pi}{90}

The square of a number is equal to two less than three times the number. What are two possible values of the number?
ycow [4]

Answer:

A, 1,2

Step-by-step explanation:

we translate it first into language of math

we use n for the number

n² = 3n - 2

then, do some algebra things

n² - 3n + 2 = 0

then factorize it

(n - 2)(n - 1) = 0

first n

n - 2 = 0

n = 2

2nd n

n - 1 = 0

n = 1

so n can be 1 or 2

You buy the following materials for the new extension. Calculate the cost of the bricks and cement and then work out the total c
bogdanovich [222]

<u>Answer:</u>

Cost of sand = £150

Cost of bricks =  £157.5

Cost of cement = £134

Total cost = £441.50

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

We are given that:

2 tonnes of sand  is for £75.00 per tonne,

20 bags of cement  are for £6.70 per bag,

350 bricks at 45p each,

So, 2 tonnes of sand  at £75.00 per tonne = 2 * £75.00 = £150.00

20 bags of cement  at £6.70 per bag = 20 * £6.70 = £134.00

350 bricks at 45p each = 350 * £0.45 = £157.50

Therefore, the total cost of all the materials = £150 + £134 + £157.5 = £441.50

Question 9 (5 points)
Ad libitum [116K]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  $3291.60

Step-by-step explanation:

If the loan is amortized in the usual way, the monthly payment is ...

  A = P(r/12)/(1 -(1 +r/12)^(-12t)) . . . . . loan of P at rate r for t years

  A = $15,000(0.081/12)/(1 -(1 +0.081/12)^(-12·5)) ≈ $304.86

The total of payments is ...

  (60 months) × ($304.86/month) = $18,291.60

Then the profit to the bank is ...

  $18,291.60 -15,000 = $3,291.60 . . . bank profit
