Answer:

The displacement after 4 more complete oscillations is 10.56cm

Explanation:

Initial displacement, Xo=10cm

After one complete oscillation displacement X1=7.36cm

Change in displacement = Xo-X1=( 10-7.36)can =2.64cm

1 oscillation =2.64cm

4 oscillations= 4×2.64=10.56cm

While riding in a moving car, you toss an egg directly upward. Does the egg tend to land behind you, in front of you, or back in
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

Explanation:

The movement of a body can be analyzed using New's first law. In an inertial frame (without acceleration) every body is kept at rest or moving at constant speed until there is an external force that changes this state

Let's analyze these cases in the framework of this first law

a) If the vehicle is going at constant speed the two bodies (the egg and the hands) do not change movement so he had returned to the hands

b) If the vehicle accelerates the passenger goes faster, but the egg that is not subject to anything does not change the movement, so it falls behind the passenger

c) If the vehicle slows down, the passenger reduces its speed and the distance traveled in time, but the egg that is not attached follows its movement and falls in front of the passenger.

A certain gas is compressed adiabatically. The amount of work done on the gas is 800 J. What is the change in the internal (ther
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

800J

Explanation:

Using the formula for change in the internal energy of a system

∆U = Q - W

Q = heat added to the system

W =workdone by system.

We know the process is an adiabatic one then, there no addition/ removal of heat, then Q= 0

(∆U = -W )

Then substitute for W, we have

∆U = -[-800]

∆U= 800J

∆U = 800J

Two students, Nora and Allison, are both the same age when Allison hops aboard a flying saucer and blasts off to achieve a cruis
White raven [17]

Answer:

23.38 years

Explanation:

Speed of Allison = 0.83 c = v

Time passed according to Allison = Δt = 29.5 years

Time dilation

\Delta t'=\frac{\Delta t}{\sqrt{1-\frac{v^2}{c^2}}}\\\Rightarrow \Delta t'=\frac{29.5}{\sqrt{1-\frac{0.83^2c^2}{c^2}}}\\\Rightarrow \Delta t'=\frac{29.5}{\sqrt{1-0.83^2}}\\\Rightarrow \Delta t'=52.88\ years

For Nora 52.88 years would have passed

So, their age difference would be 52.88-29.5 = 23.38 years
