Answer:

55.66 m

Explanation:

While falling by 50 m , initial velocity u = 0

final velocity = v , height h = 50 , acceleration g = 9.8

v² = u² + 2gh

= 0 + 2 x 9.8 x 50

v = 31.3 m /s

After that deceleration comes into effect

In this case final velocity v = 17 m/s

initial velocity u = 31.3 m/s

acceleration a = - 61 m/s²

distance traveled h = ?

v² = u² + 2gh

(17)² = (31.3)² - 2x 61xh

h = 690.69 / 2 x 61

= 5.66 m

Total height during which he was in air

= 50 + 5.66

= 55.66 m

Interactive Solution 11.13 presents a model for solving this problem. A solid concrete block weighs 100 N and is resting on the
mash [69]

Answer:

The value is }  N  =  66 \  blocks

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

The weight of the block is W_b  = 100 \  N

The dimension of the block is d =  0.400 m  \ X  \ 0.250 \  m  \  X  \ 0.130 \ m

Generally two atmosphere is equivalent to

P_{2atm} =  2 *  1.013 *10^{5} =  202600 \  N/m^2

Generally 1 atm = 1.013 *10^{5} N/m^2

The area of the block would be evaluated using width and height because we need for the smaller surface to be in contact with the ground in order to maximize the pressure and minimize number of blocks

So

A =  0.250 *  0.130

=> A =  0.0325 \  m^2

Generally the force due to this blocks is mathematically represented as

F =  N  *  W_b

Here N is the number of blocks

So

}  202600 =  \frac{N  *  100 }{ 0.0325}

=>   }  N  =  66 \  blocks

Spiderman, whose mass is 70.0 kg, is dangling on the free end of a 12.2-m-long rope, the other end of which is fixed to a tree l
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

U = -3978.8 J

Explanation:

The work of the gravitational force U just depends of the heigth and is calculated as:

U = -mgh

Where m is the mass, g is the gravitational acceleration and h the alture.

for calculate the alture we will use the following equation:

h = L-Lcos(θ)

Where L is the large of the rope and θ is the angle.

Replacing data:

h = 12.2-12.2cos(58.4)

h = 5.8 m

Finally U is equal to:

U = -70(9.8)(5.8)

U = -3,978.8 J

Energy released by fusion in the sun is initially in the form of
bogdanovich [222]
Energy released by fusion in the sun is initially in the form of gamma rays.

Gamma rays arise from the radioactive decay of nuclei. They are penetrating electromagnetic radiations consisting of very high energy photons.
Gamma rays are ionizing radiations and have very serious biological dangers and hazards (due to their ability of ionizing the atoms).

Ex 10: My dog runs at 6 m/s for 18 meters. How long did she run for?
Hunter-Best [27]
She ran for 3s

Put 18/6 because in order to find how long she ran for you need to divide the distance by the meters ran, once you do that you will get 3.
